Durante el acto de instalación, la ministra Pérez de Cuéllar remarcó que el Ejecutivo seguirá trabajando de manera conjunta con los tres niveles de gobierno para encontrar soluciones definitivas a los problemas sociales como la falta de acceso al agua potable.

En esta oportunidad, se instalaron 11 mesas técnicas, conformadas por el Programa Nacional de Saneamiento Urbano (PNSU); el Programa Nacional de Saneamiento Rural; el Programa Mejoramiento Integral de Barrios; el Programa de Generación de Suelo Urbano; Cofopri; entre otras áreas del Ministerio de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento.

Además, ante la coyuntura de lluvias en la región, se incluyó un módulo dedicado al impulso de proyectos relacionados a la emergencia climática, integrado por el PNSU, OTASS y el Programa Nuestras Ciudades, que se enfoca en la aplicación del programa presupuestal 068 (Reducción de la vulnerabilidad y atención de emergencias por desastres).

“El compromiso del Gobierno y del sector Vivienda es seguir trabajando de manera articulada con el gobierno regional y los alcaldes provinciales y distritales. Esta articulación es fundamental para encontrar las soluciones definitivas que tanto las autoridades y la población necesitan”, manifestó.

La titular del MVCS refirió que, si bien la mesa técnica es para analizar proyectos de agua, saneamiento y vivienda, es posible que se aborden algunas obras destinadas a enfrentar un eventual fenómeno de El Niño, previsto para el próximo año.

Dijo también que en paralelo el sector Vivienda sigue desplegando esfuerzos para la atención de la emergencia por las intensas lluvias en Piura, a donde ha desplazado más de 270 maquinarias destinadas a apoyar las labores de limpieza, succión de aguas pluviales y retiro de escombros.

FIRMA DE CONVENIOS
En ese marco, el ministerio de Vivienda suscribió tres convenios para transferir este año más de S/ 5.6 millones, como parte de los recursos destinados a la ejecución de proyectos que permitirán mejorar los servicios de agua potable y alcantarillado en varias zonas de Piura y que están valorizados, en total, en más de S/ 31 millones.

Uno de los convenios fue suscrito con la Empresa Prestadora de Saneamiento Grau -EPS Grau, para la rehabilitación de redes de agua potable y alcantarillado en el asentamiento humano (AA.HH.) San Pedro, para lo cual se transferirá un monto que asciende a S/ 1,730,469.00.

El MVCS también firmó dos convenios con la comuna distrital Veintiséis de Octubre y la EPS Grau, uno de los cuales está destinado al mejoramiento del servicio de agua potable y alcantarillado en el AA.HH. Micaela Bastidas I, II, III y IV etapa, obra en la que se acordó transferir S/ 1,204,186.

Asimismo, se aprobó la transferencia de S/ 2,689,982.00 para la recuperación del servicio de agua potable y alcantarillado en la urbanización popular San José, distrito de Veintiséis de Octubre.

La titular de Vivienda destacó que los convenios firmados son el resultado de la primera mesa de trabajo en Piura, realizada entre febrero y marzo, en la que se logró destrabar tres importantes proyectos.

De otro lado, durante la jornada de trabajo se reunió con los alcaldes provinciales de Piura, Sullana, Morropón y Ayabaca para revisar los proyectos directamente relacionados con la emergencia que vive la región.

Luego de ello, Pérez de Cuéllar sostuvo un encuentro con los representantes de organizaciones sociales de bases, entre ellos los dirigentes de los 96 asentamientos humanos de los distritos de Piura, Castilla y Veintiséis de Octubre.

Posteriormente, se tiene previsto la supervisión de los avances de los trabajos de descolmatación en el dren Pajaritos y la quebrada El Gallo, que se llevan a cabo con la maquinaria del Programa Nuestras Ciudades, en coordinación con los municipios.
