Al participar en la ceremonia de reconocimiento “Becas que transforman vidas”, dirigida a jóvenes beneficiarios de Beca 18, la mandataria recordó que la educación constituye el mejor instrumento para romper la pobreza intergeneracional de las familias, promover el desarrollo integral de las personas, y construir una sociedad con valores, pacífica, tolerante y exitosa.

La jefa de Estado remarcó, en ese sentido, que el Ejecutivo seguirá apostando por la educación, a través de hechos concretos, como las becas entregadas hoy, y con mejores colegios, universidades, y docentes bien remunerados.

Como parte de ese objetivo, dijo que se busca que la banda ancha de internet llegue a todas las escuelas, e instó a que el proceso de compra de laptops y tablets para los estudiantes de zonas alejadas se haga en el marco de la lucha contra la corrupción.

En su discurso, la presidenta Boluarte felicitó a los jóvenes procedentes de Áncash, Junín, Huánuco, Ica y Lima, entre otras regiones, que obtuvieron 1,960 becas integrales de Beca 18, del Programa Nacional de Becas y Créditos Educativos (Pronabec), y estudiarán en diferentes universidades del país.

“Hoy tienen la oportunidad de demostrar, a través de sus historias, que la educación es capaz de transformar sus vidas y transformar a nuestro país”, añadió tras resaltar que los becarios evidencian que no hay imposibles cuando los objetivos son claros.

Las becas corresponden a las modalidades Beca 18 Ordinaria, Vraem, Repared (para víctimas de violencia durante los años 1980-200), Comunidades Nativas y Población Afroperuana, Fuerzas Armadas, Protección, Huallaga y EIB (Educación Intercultural Bilingüe).

En la ceremonia de reconocimiento, realizada en el Centro de Convenciones de Lima, participaron la ministra de Educación, Magnet Márquez Ramírez; la directora ejecutiva de Pronabec, Soraya Altabás; y los jóvenes beneficiarios de Beca 18.

In her speech, President Boluarte congratulated the young people from Áncash, Junín, Huánuco, Ica and Lima, among other regions, who obtained 1,960 full scholarships from Beca 18, from the National Program of Scholarships and Educational Loans (Pronabec), and will study in different universities of the country.

“Today they have the opportunity to demonstrate, through their stories, that education is capable of transforming their lives and transforming our country,” he added after highlighting that the scholarship recipients show that nothing is impossible when the objectives are clear.
