Esta es una muestra de que los trabajos de la Línea 2 siguen avanzando en diferentes frentes. “Millones de ciudadanos de Lima y Callao se verán beneficiados con este tren subterráneo que los trasladará desde Ate al Callao. Era un sueño que el MTC viene sacando adelante, destrabando procesos y acelerando plazos”, manifestó la ministra Lazarte.

La titular del MTC destacó que se busca dar a la ciudadanía un transporte masivo, moderno y seguro. “No queremos que la Línea 2 se convierte en un elefante blanco, queremos que su construcción se haga realidad y estamos en ese trabajo”, manifestó tras ratificar su compromiso de que en este año se pondrá en operación la primera etapa de la Línea 2.

La gigantesca máquina “Micaela”, que realiza su trabajo a 20 metros de profundidad, hasta el momento lleva acumulados más de 3950 metros de túnel excavado y construido, desde que comenzó su recorrido en la Estación Insurgentes, en Bellavista. En todo ese tramo la tuneladora ha instalado 2634 anillos de concreto que sirven de soporte en el subterráneo en construcción.

La tuneladora, al haber concluido su labor en las estaciones de la Línea 2 , será desmontada y trasladada al pozo de ventilación PV4-BIS para iniciar la construcción del túnel del Ramal de la futura Línea 4, desde la Estación Gambetta hasta la Estación Carmen de la Legua.

La Línea 2 del Metro de Lima contará con una red de 27 estaciones y unirá a los distritos de Ate Vitarte, Santa Anita, El Agustino, San Luis, la Victoria, Cercado de Lima, Breña, Bellavista, Carmen de La Legua y el Callao.

El tren cuando esté operativo va a trasladar a más de un millón de personas por día, recorriendo 27 kilómetros de vías en tan solo 45 minutos.

The gigantic machine “Micaela”, which carries out its work at a depth of 20 meters, has so far accumulated more than 3,950 meters of tunnel excavated and built, since it began its journey at the Insurgentes Station, in Bellavista. Throughout this stretch, the tunnel boring machine has installed 2,634 concrete rings that serve as support for the underground under construction.

The tunnel boring machine, having completed its work in the Line 2 stations, will be disassembled and transferred to the PV4-BIS ventilation shaft to start the construction of the branch tunnel of the future Line 4, from the Gambetta Station to the Carmen de la Legua Station.
