Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe Con 73 votos a favor, 39 en contra y 8 abstenciones, el Pleno del Congreso aprobó la Resolución Legislativa que autoriza a la presidenta de la república, Dina Boluarte Zegarra, a salir del territorio nacional del 17 al 21 de septiembre de 2023 a Nueva York, Estados Unidos, para participar en la Asamblea General de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU).

El pedido indica que la jefa de Estado participará en las principales actividades de la semana de alto nivel del septuagésimo octavo periodo de sesiones de la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, que se llevarán a cabo los días 18, 19 y 20 de setiembre próximos.

El oficio 286-2023-PR, enviado al Congreso de la República, detalla que la mandataria también sostendrá encuentros bilaterales con sus homólogos de otros países, así como con altas autoridades del sistema de las Naciones Unidas.

Señala, además, que la intervención de la presidenta de la República permitirá posicionar al Perú como un actor comprometido con los desafíos globales y con la implementación de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible, así como resaltar los intereses nacionales en la prevención y gestión del riesgo de desastres naturales, la protección del medio ambiente y de la Amazonía, entre otros temas clave de la agenda internacional.

“La presidenta de la República se mantendrá a cargo del despacho de la Presidencia de la República empleando tecnologías digitales, las cuales adoptan los mecanismos de seguridad digital y la garantía de la seguridad de los medios a emplearse”, precisa el documento.

Durante el debate, los congresistas Susel Paredes (CD-JP), Jaime Quito (NA), Elías Varas Meléndez (PB), Hilda Portero López (AP) y Enrique Wong se mostraron en contra del viaje de Boluarte Zegarra a los Estados Unidos.

Ellos coincidieron en que la mandataria debe resolverse los problemas álgidos que atraviesa actualmente nuestro país como la inseguridad ciudadana, los problemas ambientales, y prever de medidas que garanticen el bienestar de la población ante la llegada de El Niño global.

The request indicates that the head of State will participate in the main activities of the high-level week of the seventy-eighth period of sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, which will take place on September 18, 19 and 20.

Official letter 286-2023-PR, sent to the Congress of the Republic, details that the president will also hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts from other countries, as well as with high authorities of the United Nations system.

It also points out that the intervention of the President of the Republic will allow Peru to be positioned as an actor committed to global challenges and to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as highlighting national interests in the prevention and management of risk of natural disasters, protection of the environment and the Amazon, among other key issues on the international agenda.

“The President of the Republic will remain in charge of the office of the Presidency of the Republic using digital technologies, which adopt digital security mechanisms and guarantee the security of the means to be used,” the document states.

During the debate, congressmen Susel Paredes (CD-JP), Jaime Quito (NA), Elías Varas Meléndez (PB), Hilda Portero López (AP) and Enrique Wong were against Boluarte Zegarra’s trip to the United States.

They agreed that the president must resolve the critical problems that our country is currently experiencing, such as citizen insecurity, environmental problems, and provide for measures that guarantee the well-being of the population in the face of the arrival of global El Niño.
