Los recursos transferidos serán utilizados en la compra de medidores y otros insumos que permitirán un mejor control y servicio de agua a los usuarios.

“A más tardar el día lunes, se va a estar transferido el dinero que nos hemos comprometido para que se pueda completar la obra en beneficio de la población de Desaguadero”, dijo la titular del sector Vivienda.

Asimismo, el MVCS brindará la asistencia técnica que se necesita para destrabar el proyecto que pondrá en funcionamiento la PTAP Desaguadero, la cual inspeccionó con su equipo técnico.

Así lo anunció la ministra Pérez de Cuéllar, quien junto al alcalde distrital de Desaguadero, Héctor Sarmiento y funcionarios de su sector, instaló la Mesa de Trabajo Regional de Vivienda, Agua y Saneamiento del MVCS, con el fin de impulsar y agilizar proyectos que contribuyan al cierre de brechas en la provincia de Chucuito.

En el coliseo de la ciudad fronteriza se conformaron mesas temáticas donde el personal del MVCS brinda asistencia técnica a autoridades y funcionarios de los municipios provinciales y distritales de Chucuito, para destrabar e impulsar los proyectos de agua potable, saneamiento básico, equipamiento urbano y módulos de viviendas Wasimi, que los gobiernos locales vienen gestionando ante el sector.

La labor está a cargo del Programa Nacional de Saneamiento Urbano (PNSU), del Programa Nacional de Saneamiento Rural (PNSR), del Programa Mejoramiento Integral de Barrios (PMIB) y del Programa Nacional de Vivienda Rural (PNVR), así como de OTASS.

La ministra Pérez de Cuéllar remarcó el compromiso del Ministerio de Vivienda de seguir trabajando para cerrar las brechas históricas de agua, saneamiento y vivienda en Puno.

“Hemos venido con todo el equipo a trabajar con confianza. Hemos estado en Juliaca, Ilave, Puno y ahora en Desaguadero. Nos falta recorrer otras provincias y lo vamos a hacer con determinación, firmeza y con convicción. Puno es grande, pero su necesidad es más grande. Estamos comprometidos desde el Ministerio y otros sectores del Gobierno para que Puno tenga lo que merece”, aseguró.

OBRAS POR IMPUESTO
De otro lado, la titular del MVCS destacó que en su gestión se impulsa el mecanismo de obras por impuestos (OxI) para que la empresa privada pueda construir casitas calientes o Wasimi, así como el uso de recursos del canon que perciben los gobiernos regionales y locales para construir viviendas sociales.

Este año, a través del PNVR, se entregarán más de 8 mil casitas Wasimi en toda la región Puno, y pidió a los alcaldes identificar otras zonas donde se puedan programar nuevas construcciones similares para el 2024.

ACTIVIDADES EN JULIACA
La ministra Pérez de Cuellar también visitó Juliaca, donde se reunió con el alcalde provincial, Oscar Cáceres, dirigentes y líderes de comunidades para conocer los avances de los proyectos de agua y saneamiento que beneficien a nuestras hermanas y hermanos del altiplano.

a.- El Ministerio de Vivienda realiza intervenciones en 13 provincias de Puno con una cartera de inversión de S/ 1,185 millones en 159 obras de agua, saneamiento y vivienda, de las cuales 83 están concluidas y 76 en proceso de ejecución.
b.- Entre setiembre y diciembre, se gestionará siete proyectos adicionales que beneficiarán 722,000 hermanos y hermanas de la región y que representan una inversión por S/ 1,155 millones.
