Posteriormente la mandataria se reunió con el secretario de Estado, cardenal Pietro Parolin, donde se expresó la satisfacción por las buenas relaciones entre el Perú y la Santa Sede y se dialogó sobre temas como migraciones, cambio climático y desarrollo de la Amazonía con rostro humano.

AUDIENCIA CON EL SANTO PADRE fRANCISCO
El Santo Padre Francisco recibió en Audiencia, en el Palacio Apostólico Vaticano, la misma que es la residencia oficial del papa en la Ciudad del Vaticano, a la presidenta de la Republica del Perú, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, quien, luego de la misma la gobernante sostuvo un encuentro de trabajo de gobierno con el cardenal Pietro Parolin, secretario de Estado, acompañado por monseñor Paul Richard Gallagher, secretario para las Relaciones con los Estados y las Organizaciones Internacionales.

EL PAPA FRANCISCO ELOGIA DEFENSA DE LOS VALORES EN PERÚ Y MUESTRA SU INTERES EN SITUACIÓN POLÍTICA DE LA REGIÓN
Durante los cordiales coloquios en la Secretaría de Estado, se ha expresado satisfacción por las buenas relaciones entre el Perú y la Santa Sede, subrayando la positiva colaboración entre la Iglesia y el Estado en vista de la promoción de los valores morales, del bien común, del dialogo y de la construcción de la paz social. Prosiguiendo con las conversaciones, se ha llevado a cabo un intercambio de puntos de vista sobre la situación socio-política de la Región, con particular atención al fenómeno de las migraciones y al impacto del cambio climático.

INTERCAMBIO DE DONES (OBSEQUIOS)
Al final de la audiencia con el Papa tuvo lugar el habitual intercambio de regalos. Francisco entregó a la presidenta del Perú un molde de bronce que representa una flor germinando con la inscripción “La paz es una flor frágil” y volúmenes de documentos papales: el Mensaje por la Paz de este año, el Documento sobre la Fraternidad Humana y el libro sobre la Statio Orbis del 27 de marzo de 2020, editado por LEV.
