El GR Yaris, resultado del aprendizaje de Toyota Gazoo Racing en las competencias de Rally mundial, es un vehículo de alto rendimiento diseñado para diferentes terrenos como los de Caminos del Inca. Un dato que resalta es que este vehículo ha sido desarrollado a partir de un auto de tienda estándar. Lucho Alayza, quien lucirá el número 712 en esta edición de Caminos del Inca, rinde un emotivo tributo a su padre, quien portaba el mismo número en la década de 1980. Este gesto seguramente avivará la pasión de los seguidores de la competición.

La trayectoria de Lucho Alayza en el mundo de las carreras es realmente inspiradora. Su carrera comenzó en 1977, siguiendo los pasos de su padre y tíos. En 2002, tuvo el honor de competir como copiloto junto a su padre en el Rally Integración del Centro, celebrado en Huancayo, marcando así el inicio de su propio legado en las carreras. En 2004, padre e hijo conquistaron el prestigioso premio Presidente de la República y los Caminos del Inca, convirtiéndose en una de las pocas duplas familiares en alcanzar el éxito en las competencias más destacadas del país.

En esta edición de Caminos del Inca, Lucho Alayza está plenamente preparado para continuar con el legado familiar y cautivar a la audiencia. A lo largo de su trayectoria en la competición, ha sido galardonado en un total de 5 rallys, ganando en la categoría Súper Turismo (ST) en las ediciones 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 y 2023. En la edición de 2019, alcanzó la victoria en la clasificación general, convirtiéndose en el primer piloto peruano en lograrlo desde 1993.
