“La presidenta ha dispuesto el viaje inmediato de los ministros de Defensa e Interior a Tumbes para que, en el terreno, coordinen acciones de resguardo de nuestras fronteras”, indicó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

El titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) dio a conocer la medida tras sostener una reunión con los titulares de Defensa, Jorge Chávez Cresta; Interior, Víctor Torres Falcón; Relaciones Exteriores, Javier González-Olaechea Franco, y Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Eduardo Arana Ysa, y el presidente del Instituto Nacional Penitenciario (INPE), Javier Llaque Moya.

El premier Alberto Otárola también explicó que se declarará en emergencia toda la frontera norte del Perú.

“En noviembre se emitió un estado de emergencia que está vigente y que cubre tanto a Tumbes como a Piura. Vamos a declarar la emergencia en los demás departamentos fronterizos que son Amazonas, Cajamarca y Loreto”, añadió el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, quien precisó que las Fuerzas Armadas acudirán en apoyo a la Policía.

Asimismo, reveló que se movilizará un contingente policial a la frontera con el Ecuador, a fin de realizar un control más intenso del tránsito de personas que ingresan al Perú.
