La actividad convocó a más de cien alcaldes y alcaldesas provinciales de todo el país, en la sede del Ministerio de Cultura, en Lima.

En el acto de apertura participó también el presidente de la Asociación de Municipalidades del Perú (AMPE), Dennys Cuba, autoridades del norte, centro y sur, y ministros, para plantear acciones concretas sobre temas prioritarios en beneficio de sus jurisdicciones.

“Se trata de una propuesta inédita y audaz. Siempre ha sido tema de agenda realizar un trabajo articulado con los alcaldes”, señaló el titular de la PCM.

Destacó la importancia de que los equipos técnicos de los gobiernos locales trabajen conjuntamente con sus pares de los sectores del Ejecutivo para que las comunas puedan avanzar en el impulso de obras, la priorización de trabajos de infraestructura y, sobre todo, en la conjunción de esfuerzos a favor de las poblaciones más vulnerables.

A su turno, el presidente de la AMPE, Dennys Cuba, detalló la labor de las municipalidades en su proximidad con la población, por lo que se hace necesario fortalecer sus finanzas y el Foncomún. En ese sentido, saludó la orientación que brinda el Gobierno en el CEMUNI.

En este espacio de articulación se impulsan las relaciones intergubernamentales y se reúne en un mismo ámbito al Poder Ejecutivo con las comunas provinciales. La agenda plantea, principalmente, el destrabe de obras y el acompañamiento a los burgomaestres para impulsar sus distintas iniciativas.

De ese modo, hoy y mañana los municipios sostendrán reuniones bilaterales y de asistencia técnica con los ministerios, a fin de acordar soluciones a sus problemáticas, de acuerdo a la relación remitida previamente a través de la Secretaría de Descentralización de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros.

“En el marco del primer y segundo Consejos de Estado Regional, cumplimos con un nivel de ejecución de compromisos del 92% y del 79%, respectivamente, referidos a gestión de financiamiento, destrabe de proyectos, asistencia técnica, visitas a territorio, entre otros, lo que demuestra la utilidad de este tipo de reuniones”, manifestó.
