En un primer momento, la jefa de Estado mantuvo un encuentro en Palacio de Gobierno con la ministra del Interior de Alemania, Nancy Faeser, con el propósito de fortalecer la relación bilateral y cooperación entre Perú y el país europeo, en particular en materia de lucha contra el tráfico ilícito de drogas y otros delitos conexos.

Durante la reunión, la mandataria destacó las relaciones entre ambas naciones, las mismas que se fortalecieron tras su visita a la República de Alemania, en octubre del 2023.

Aprovecho la visita de la ministra Nancy Faeser para agradecer la reunión que tuvimos con el presidente federal de Alemania, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, la cual permitió abrir oportunidades de inversión y cooperación en el ámbito económico para nuestro país, expresó la presidenta.

Asimismo, destacó el apoyo alemán hacia nuestro país para lograr la adhesión a la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE).

Seguidamente, la mandataria sostuvo una audiencia con nueve congresistas de Estados Unidos, en la que se dialogó sobre diversos temas, como el fortalecimiento del intercambio comercial, la lucha conjunta frente al crimen organizado y la promoción de inversión extranjera en el Perú.

La comitiva que llegó hasta la sala Túpac de Palacio de Gobierno estuvo conformada por los congresistas Vern Buchanan, Dina Titus, Carlos Giménez, Neal Dunn, Diana DeGette, Adrián Smith, Tim Walberg, Dan Kildee y Kevin Hern.

En la reunión, la jefa de Estado destacó los 15 años de vigencia del Tratado de Libre Comercio Perú-EE.UU., el que ha permitido dinamizar la macroeconomía de nuestro país y generar empleo de calidad para miles de familias peruanas.

La mandataria remarcó, además, los sólidos fundamentos macroeconómicos del Perú y su seguridad jurídica, lo cual permite gestar un buen clima para las inversiones. El Perú está de regreso; somos un país con oportunidades de inversión, con baja inflación y tenemos una sólida estabilidad monetaria, subrayó.
