“Chinecas tiene casi 40 años de expectativa y hoy se hace realidad gracias al liderazgo del gobernador regional, al trabajo de Proinversión y el Ministerio de Economía Finanzas, y a la decisión política de la presidenta Dina Boluarte”, señaló el premier tras otorgarse la buena pro al Consorcio LHS Consulting Engineering SAC-Agua Energía Minería Ingenieros Consultores SAC.

El jefe del Gabinete Ministerial estuvo acompañado por el ministro de Economía y Finanzas, José Arista Arbildo; el director ejecutivo de Proinversión, José Salardi Rodríguez; la congresista Kelly Portalatino Avalos; el gobernador regional de Áncash, Koki Noriega Brito.

También asistieron los alcaldes provinciales de Casma, Julio Meléndez Lázaro, y Huarmey, Cavino Cautivo Grasa; y el burgomaestre del distrito de Nuevo Chimbote, Walter Soto Campos.

El titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) recordó que la jefa de Estado, en su último mensaje por 28 de julio, anunció que durante el gobierno se pondrían en marcha 4 megaproyectos de irrigación que beneficiarían a más de medio millón de peruanos con empleo directo.

En esa línea, afirmó que Chinecas es una guía del proceso de cierre de infraestructura, que es uno de los objetivos esenciales de este Gobierno, y que significará una inversión cercana a los 800 millones de dólares.

“Chinecas significa una conjunción triple entre voluntad política, liderazgo regional, apoyo técnico profesional y, sobre todo, la participación activa de los señores alcaldes que son elegidos por el voto popular”, declaró.

La obra permitirá drenar las aguas del río Santa e incorporar hectáreas de terreno en los valles del Santa, Lacramarca, Nepeña, Casma y Huarmey. “Esta iniciativa será un antes y un después de Áncash”, concluyó.
