Al iniciar la jornada, el jefe del gabinete ministerial acudió a la sede del Legislativo para reunirse con los congresistas de Renovación Popular, y el líder de este partido político, Rafael López Aliaga.

“Hemos percibido su interés por la seguridad ciudadana y la necesidad de acelerar la reactivación económica del Perú. También hemos coincidido en la importancia de trabajar intensamente en una política de penales y en la preocupación que tienen sobre los servicios que se brindan en los hospitales públicos”, señaló el premier tras el diálogo.

El titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) estuvo acompañado por los titulares de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Eduardo Arana, y de Salud, César Vásquez. En el encuentro participaron los parlamentarios Jorge Montoya, José Cueto, Gladys Echaíz, Milagros Jáuregui, Noelia Herrera y Alejandro Muñante,

Posteriormente, el jefe de gabinete recibió en la PCM a los legisladores de Fuerza Popular, Arturo Alegría, Eduardo Castillo, Nilza Chacón, Víctor Flores, a quienes remarcó que los pilares de su gestión son el fortalecimiento de la seguridad ciudadana y la generación de crecimiento económico.

“La minería y la agroindustria serán claves para dinamizar la economía y generar más puestos de trabajo”, indicó el premier, quien enfatizó el impulso decidido del Ejecutivo a los proyectos mineros y a las iniciativas como Chavimochic, que permitirán ampliar las fronteras agrarias del país.

En la reunión estuvieron presentes los ministros de Defensa, Walter Astudillo; Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Eduardo Arana; Producción, Ana María Choquehuanca, Ambiente, Juan Carlos Castro, y de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, Julio Demartini.
