En la actividad, en la que se abordaron temas prioritarios para la región, también se informó del aumento de personal de la Policía de Investigaciones de Chile (PDI) en los complejos Santa Rosa y Chacalluta.

En la cita desarrollada en la Zona Franca de Tacna (ZofraTacna), el canciller Javier González-Olaechea indicó que esta reunión se enmarca en el primer eje de la Política Exterior Reforzada (PER) que impulsa su gestión, el cual refiere a los “intereses permanentes y sagrados de la integridad territorial de los puestos fronterizos y todo lo que corresponde a la defensa nacional, en cuya primera fase adelantada está la Cancillería”.

Durante la reunión se indicó que el Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas presentaría, el presente mes, la propuesta normativa para el proyecto de inversión con el fin de mejorar la infraestructura del Complejo Santa Rosa. A su vez, se verificaron los avances que permitirán la construcción de un tramo desde la carretera Panamericana Sur hasta el ingreso del estacionamiento para transporte de carga, a fin de disminuir la congestión vehicular.

Las autoridades acordaron la suscripción en junio de 2024 de un acuerdo operativo con las autoridades chilenas para el control migratorio simplificado, lo que duplicará la capacidad de atención de los complejos fronterizos de Santa Rosa y Chacalluta sin necesidad de asignar personal adicional, beneficiando actividades turísticas, gastronómicas, comerciales y culturales.

De la misma forma, la mesa multisectorial reafirmó la voluntad de acelerar el procedimiento para la construcción del tramo faltante en el Perú de la carretera Tacna-Collpa-La Paz.

También participaron en la reunión multisectorial la viceministra de Comercio, Teresa Mera Gómez; la secretaria de Descentralización de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros, Mabel Gálvez; representantes de SUNAT, Migraciones, Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones y de la Policía Nacional del Perú, así como autoridades locales.

Es importante señalar que el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores es el sector responsable del seguimiento a las intervenciones multisectoriales en Tacna.

In the same way, the multisectoral table reaffirmed the will to accelerate the procedure for the construction of the missing section of the Tacna-Collpa-La Paz highway in Peru.

Also participating in the multi-sector meeting were the Vice Minister of Commerce, Teresa Mera Gómez; the Secretary of Decentralization of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Mabel Gálvez; representatives of SUNAT, Migrations, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the National Police of Peru, as well as local authorities.
