Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe En el Congreso de la República, en sesión de la Comisión Especial Multipartidaria de Impulso y Seguimiento del Proyecto Terminal Multipropósito de Chancay, el canciller Elmer Schialer Salcedo explicó que con el desarrollo del megapuerto de Chancay el Perú está camino a convertirse en un hub para la gestión de la carga desde y hacia los países americanos con destino al Asia – Pacífico, y que los corredores multimodales interoceánicos sur y norte del Perú serán, en el corto plazo, los principales ejes de tránsito para las exportaciones brasileñas hacia esa zona.

Igualmente, indicó que el Perú está implementando el hub logístico multimodal que comprende la ampliación del aeropuerto internacional Jorge Chávez, del terminal portuario del Callao, así como del nuevo terminal portuario de Chancay y el futuro Parque Industrial de Ancón. Señaló que este hub llevará a una nueva infraestructura que lo conectará con el resto del país como con el futuro ferrocarril Lima-Barranca que cubrirá Chancay y operará como tren de cercanías, una alternativa para el alto flujo de personas y mercancías.

El ministro señaló que la estrategia incluye la diversidad de las fuentes de inversión que permite interactuar con empresas globales con amplia experiencia en el ámbito logístico, industrial y tecnológico con capital alemán en el aeropuerto internacional Jorge Chávez, emiratí en el muelle sur y neerlandés en el muelle norte del Puerto del Callao, así como inversión china en el Puerto de Chancay.

Por otra parte, el canciller Schialer informó que se implementará una Unidad de Control Conjunto (UCC) en el puerto de Chancay, integrada por las entidades nacionales a cargo del control y fiscalización de drogas (SUNAT, DIRANDRO, APN, Fiscalía de la Nación, y Marina de Guerra). Precisó que las UCC forman parte del Programa de Control de Contenedores de las Naciones Unidas del cual el Perú es parte desde el año 2016.

Añadió que el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores ha realizado gestiones con la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas contra la Droga y el Delito (UNODC) a fin de canalizar recursos de la cooperación internacional para la implementación de la oficina que ocupará esa Unidad de Control Conjunto en el puerto de Chancay, así como para capacitar a su personal. Ambos propósitos serán alcanzados con el concurso de la cooperación canadiense y británica.

Likewise, he indicated that Peru is implementing the multimodal logistics hub that includes the expansion of the Jorge Chávez international airport, the Callao port terminal, as well as the new Chancay port terminal and the future Ancón Industrial Park. He pointed out that this hub will lead to a new infrastructure that will connect it with the rest of the country as well as with the future Lima-Barranca railway that will cover Chancay and will operate as a commuter train, an alternative for the high flow of people and goods.

The minister pointed out that the strategy includes the diversity of investment sources that allows interaction with global companies with extensive experience in the logistics, industrial and technological field with German capital in the Jorge Chávez international airport, Emirati in the south dock and Dutch in the northern dock of the Port of Callao, as well as Chinese investment in the Port of Chancay.

On the other hand, Chancellor Schialer reported that a Joint Control Unit (UCC) will be implemented in the port of Chancay, made up of the national entities in charge of drug control and control (SUNAT, DIRANDRO, APN, Attorney General’s Office, and Navy). He specified that the UCC are part of the United Nations Container Control Program of which Peru has been a part since 2016.

He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken steps with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in order to channel international cooperation resources for the implementation of the office that this Joint Control Unit will occupy in the port of Chancay, as well as to train its staff. Both purposes will be achieved with the help of Canadian and British cooperation.
