“Sus territorios son objeto de ataques, pero queremos decirles que estamos a su lado en la lucha contra la minería ilegal que está talando sus bosques, contaminando sus ríos y matando sus especies”, manifestó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, desde Tarapoto, en la región San Martín.

En esta ciudad, el premier Adrianzén, el ministro del Ambiente Juan Carlos Castro y el gobernador regional de San Martín, Walter Grundel, participaron en la entrega de cheques a 14 comunidades nativas y 12 productores usuarios de los bosques de Loreto, Madre de Dios y San Martín, valorizados en total en 9.6 millones de soles destinados al financiamiento de planes de negocios que contribuyan a la conservación de estos espacios.

Asimismo, se distribuyó entre 10 comunidades nativas de Loreto y San Martín el equipamiento para la vigilancia de los bosques: indumentaria, equipamiento de campo (bolsas de dormir, mochilas, carpas individuales y ponchos de agua), teléfonos inteligentes y kits de primeros auxilios. Con ello se busca fortalecer la labor de un total de 80 vigilantes comunales.

En otro momento de su alocución, el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) también expresó sus condolencias a las familias de los guardianes del bosque que han perdido la vida en el cumplimiento de su deber.

Las entregas realizadas son parte del Programa de Inversión Forestal en el Perú que ejecuta el Ministerio del Ambiente (Minam), cuyo objetivo es contribuir en la conservación de los bosques y la mitigación del cambio climático. Este programa, que cuenta con soporte financiero del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) y el Banco Mundial, ha beneficiado a 94 comunidades y 55 productores del bosque. “Debemos hacer que esto siga creciendo más. Porque cuando desarrollen sus planes y proyectos, verán cómo comercializarán sus productos y empezaremos a crecer todos juntos”, manifestó el premier.

La actividad también contó con la participación del representante del BID en el Perú, Tomas Lopes-Teixeira; y de los presidentes de la Asociación Interétnica de Desarrollo de la Selva Peruana y de la Confederación de Nacionalidades Amazónicas del Perú.

INICIAN EJECUCIÓN DE OBRA PARA MEJORAR CONECTIVIDAD DE LA REGIÓN SAN MARTÍN
A fin de avanzar en la integración de la Amazonía con el resto del país, el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, el titular del Minam y el gobernador regional de San Martín participaron en el inicio de la mejora del camino vecinal Yacucatina – Utcurarca – Machugo – Sauce, que comprenden la construcción de un puente vehicular sobre el río Huallaga y el asfaltado de 26 kilómetros de carretera que mejoran la conexión con el turístico distrito de Sauce.

“Esta obra trae trabajo, conectividad y desarrollo. A través de esta vía, las maravillas de Sauce podrán ser ofrecidas a todo el Perú, así como los productos de las comunidades amazónicas y las comunidades originarias”, refirió el premier Adrianzén.

“Las autoridades tenemos que trabajar de la mano. Esta es una obra emblemática para la región San Martín que prontamente se hará realidad”, sostuvo el gobernador Grundel.

La obra, que beneficiará 119 000 ciudadanos de la región San Martín, requerirá una inversión de 218 millones de soles y se ejecutará en un plazo de 720 días calendario. Además, la vía contará con bermas, puentes alcantarilla, cunetas revestidas de concreto y muros de contención.

A la actividad protocolar asistieron la congresista Cheryl Trigozo, la alcaldesa provincial de San Martín, Lluni Perea, y las autoridades de los distritos beneficiados con esta iniciativa.
