“Entiendo el dolor de tantas hermanas que han tenido que enfrentar caminos difíciles, en un mundo que aún pretende reducir a las mujeres a simples instrumentos, sin reconocerlas como seres humanos con dignidad, sueños y derechos”, indicó.

En ese sentido, la jefa de Estado remarcó que la misoginia y la violencia contra la mujer no pueden seguir teniendo espacio en la sociedad, y consideró que es momento de construir un mundo donde el respeto y la igualdad sean realidad para todas.

La mandataria recordó que proviene de un hogar andino donde la verdadera riqueza no se mide en bienes materiales, sino en la honestidad, el respeto y la solidaridad, donde aprendió que el amor a los padres, el cariño hacia los semejantes y la ayuda mutua son los valores que guían el camino de la vida.

“Como mujer, digo con convicción: no tengo por qué tener miedo. Soy valiente y enfrento el odio, las mezquindades y esa infame creencia de superioridad sobre quienes venimos de los Andes”, agregó la mandataria en su mensaje.

Asimismo, exhortó a los hijos a no abandonar nunca a sus madres. “No hay amor más puro que el de las mujeres que dieron todo por sus hijos, que sacrificaron sueños y enfrentaron dificultades para verlos crecer”, dijo.

“No esperen a que sea demasiado tarde para darles un abrazo, para decirles te quiero, para devolverles un poco de todo el amor que les entregaron sin medida”, añadió la jefa de Estado.

En ese sentido pidió que la vida ejemplar de Jesús y de María su madre, ilumine nuestro camino con su sabiduría y nos fortalezca con su ejemplo de amor y entrega. “Que nos den aliento y fuerza en nuestras luchas diarias, y que nuestro amor a la patria se transforme en un futuro digno y esperanzador para nuestros hijos”, anotó.

La presidenta Boluarte concluyó su mensaje llamando a todas las mujeres a sumar sus voces, su trabajo y sus esfuerzos por la igualdad, la libertad, la democracia y por una patria próspera, desarrollada, unida y en paz.

“Las mujeres en el Perú nos tenemos que unir y pararnos firmes frente a la violencia venga de donde venga, esta tarea tenemos que enfrentarla las mujeres exigiendo respeto, nuestros derechos, y que no se nos discrimine”, puntualizó.

“As a woman, I say with conviction: I have no reason to be afraid. I am brave and I face hatred, pettiness and that infamous belief of superiority over those of us who come from the Andes,” the president added in her message.

She also urged children to never abandon their mothers. “There is no purer love than that of women who gave everything for their children, who sacrificed dreams and faced difficulties to see them grow,” she said.

“Do not wait until it is too late to give them a hug, to tell them I love you, to give them back a little of all the love they gave you without measure,” added the head of state.

In this sense, she asked that the exemplary life of Jesus and Mary, his mother, illuminate our path with their wisdom and strengthen us with their example of love and dedication. “May they give us encouragement and strength in our daily struggles, and may our love for our country be transformed into a dignified and hopeful future for our children,” she noted.

President Boluarte concluded her message by calling on all women to add their voices, their work and their efforts for equality, freedom, democracy and for a prosperous, developed, united and peaceful country.

“Women in Peru must unite and stand firm against violence, wherever it comes from. We women must face this task by demanding respect, our rights, and that we are not discriminated against,” she said.
