Este proyecto, que abarca 71 km de longitud, será clave para mejorar la conectividad en la región Piura.

Se prevé que el estudio concluya en mayo de 2026, permitiendo dar inicio a la ejecución de la obra dentro de ese mismo año. La inversión estimada asciende a S/575 millones y beneficiará a cerca de 100 000 habitantes de la provincia de Huancabamba, promoviendo el desarrollo económico, el comercio y el acceso a servicios básicos.

Durante un encuentro intergubernamental con el Gobierno Regional de Piura y alcaldes de Tambogrande, Canchaque, Castilla y Morropón, el ministro Pérez Reyes también anunció la construcción de 11 puentes definitivos en la ruta PE-1NR, tramo Tambogrande-Morropón-Chulucanas. Con una inversión de S/679 millones, esta obra beneficiará a más de 850 000 personas, asegurando una infraestructura vial más segura y eficiente. Se estima que las obras comenzarán en junio de 2025.

“El compromiso del Gobierno es apoyar y promover el desarrollo en Piura. Por ello, estamos trabajando en conjunto con el gobernador y los alcaldes de la región para destrabar y acelerar los principales proyectos viales y de conectividad”, afirmó el ministro.

Entre otros anuncios clave, el titular del MTC informó sobre los avances en la rehabilitación y mejoramiento de 2.5 km de la pista de aterrizaje del Aeropuerto de Piura, que actualmente presenta un 78 % de avance. La obra contempla una capa de concreto de 35 cm de espesor, garantizando su durabilidad. Se prevé que concluya en el segundo trimestre de 2025. Además, se están coordinando acciones para implementar iluminación nocturna y retomar los vuelos durante la noche.

De igual forma, se detalló que el esperado Antepuerto de Paita empezará a materializarse, pues el mes pasado se firmó el contrato para iniciar la elaboración del estudio de preinversión para la ejecución del proyecto. Este estudio tiene un plazo de elaboración de 240 días calendario.

Otro proyecto en marcha es el estudio definitivo de la carretera Paimas – Ayabaca – Socchabamba, que tendrá una longitud de 72 km y cuya culminación está prevista para octubre de 2025.

En la provincia de Morropón, se ha iniciado la ejecución del puente Carrasquillo, que tendrá 554 metros de longitud y demandará una inversión de S/375 millones.

Finalmente, el ministro Pérez Reyes informó que, en las provincias de Piura y Ayabaca, se ha convocado el proceso de selección para la construcción de seis puentes en Sullana – Paimas (La Sucha, Hiquerón, Culqui, Santa Rosa, Quebrada Honda y Pedregal), con una inversión de S/165 millones. Se prevé el otorgamiento de la Buena Pro en abril de 2025.

En la reunión participaron el gobernador regional de Piura, Luis Neyra, el viceministro de Transportes, Ismael Sutta y los congresistas Miguel Ciccia, Heidy Juárez y Maricruz Zeta, así como funcionarios del MTC.

Additionally, efforts are being coordinated to implement nighttime lighting and resume nighttime flights.

Likewise, it was announced that the long-awaited Paita Outport will begin to materialize, as the contract to begin preparation of the pre-investment study for the project was signed last month. This study has a completion period of 240 calendar days.

Another project underway is the final study of the Paimas-Ayabaca-Socchabamba highway, which will be 72 km long and scheduled for completion in October 2025.

In the province of Morropón, construction has begun on the Carrasquillo Bridge, which will be 554 meters long and require an investment of S/375 million.

Finally, Minister Pérez Reyes reported that, in the provinces of Piura and Ayabaca, a selection process has been launched for the construction of six bridges in Sullana-Paimas (La Sucha, Hiquerón, Culqui, Santa Rosa, Quebrada Honda, and Pedregal), with an investment of S/165 million.
