Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe La Sociedad Nacional de Industrias (SNI), a través de su presidente Felipe James Callao, asumió la Presidencia Pro Tempore para el 2025 del Capítulo Perú del Consejo Empresarial de la Alianza del Pacífico (CEAP), bloque que integra a gremios empresariales de Chile, Colombia, México y Perú, con el objetivo de promover su integración.

El titular de la SNI recibió este cargo de manos de Jorge Zapata Ríos, presidente de la Confederación Nacional de Instituciones Empresariales Privadas (Confiep), gremio en el que recayó la Presidencia del Capítulo Peruano del CEAP en el 2024. En el acto protocolar se le entregó un reconocimiento a Alfonso Bustamante Canny, quien estuvo a la cabeza de la Confiep durante dicha Presidencia.

Tras asumir el cargo, el titular de la SNI resaltó la importancia que tiene para los países de la Alianza del Pacífico el trabajar unidos para hacer frente a las turbulencias del escenario internacional. En ese sentido, señaló que uno de los objetivos es buscar la plena participación de México en todos los espacios de este bloque. “El dinamismo de la Alianza del Pacifico recae ahora en el sector privado”, agregó.

Por su parte, el titular de la Confiep entregó a la SNI el Informe de Gestión del CEAP Perú 2024, y resaltó que en los países miembros de la Alianza hay mucho por hacer en el tema de seguridad, requisito indispensable para garantizar una atracción de inversiones adecuadas.

Estuvieron presentes en el acto, Julio Pérez Alván, presidente de la Asociación de Exportadores (ADEX); Carlos Posada Ugaz, director institucional de la Cámara de Comercio de Lima (CCL); y Julia Torreblanca Marmanillo, expresidenta de ComexPerú, así como el equipo técnico del CEAP liderado por Silvia Hooker, gerente de Asuntos Internacionales de la SNI, quien asume el rol de Sherpa (representante de cada capítulo que actúa como enlace entre el empresariado y el gobierno) del Capitulo Perú.

AVANCES DEL CEAP- PERÚ
En la reunión del CEAP- Perú también se conversó sobre la posibilidad de que las empresas de los países miembros se sumen a las cadenas productivas de EE. UU., así como la formación de nuevas cadenas entre los propios países de la Alianza.

Así también, se revisaron los documentos entregados por el Consejo Empresarial en la Cumbre Empresarial de la Alianza del Pacífico, llevada a cabo en diciembre del 2024 en Santiago de Chile. En particular, las propuestas del Grupo de Trabajo de Seguridad y Comercio Exterior, así como las propuestas para un Crecimiento Económico Sostenible y la Actualización del informe sobre potenciamiento del Comercio de Servicios en la Alianza del Pacífico.

También se revisaron los avances de los Grupos de Trabajo a cargo del CEAP Perú reforzando la necesidad de llevar adelante el proyecto de Industria 4.0 (liderado por SNI), los avances del Grupo de Trabajo PYMES (a cargo de ADEX) y se conversó sobre la necesidad de retomar la agenda de infraestructura tomando en cuenta el modelo peruano de obras por impuestos.

For his part, the head of Confiep presented the CEAP Peru 2024 Management Report to the SNI, and emphasized that much remains to be done in the Alliance’s member countries regarding security, an essential requirement to guarantee the attraction of adequate investment.

Present at the event were Julio Pérez Alván, president of the Association of Exporters (ADEX); Carlos Posada Ugaz, institutional director of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL); and Julia Torreblanca Marmanillo, former president of ComexPerú, as well as the CEAP technical team led by Silvia Hooker, SNI International Affairs Manager, who assumes the role of Sherpa (representative of each chapter who acts as a liaison between the business community and the government) of the Peru Chapter.

CEAP-PERU PROGRESS
The CEAP-Peru meeting also discussed the possibility of companies from member countries joining U.S. production chains, as well as the formation of new chains among the Alliance countries themselves.

Likewise, the documents submitted by the Business Council at the Pacific Alliance Business Summit, held in December 2024 in Santiago, Chile, were reviewed. Specifically, the proposals from the Security and Foreign Trade Working Group, as well as the proposals for Sustainable Economic Growth and the Update of the report on strengthening Trade in Services in the Pacific Alliance, were reviewed.

The progress of the Working Groups led by CEAP Peru was also reviewed, reinforcing the need to move forward with the Industry 4.0 project (led by SNI), the progress of the SME Working Group (led by ADEX), and the need to resume the infrastructure agenda, taking into account the Peruvian public works-for-taxes model, was discussed.
