Tras dialogar con representantes de la empresa minera, el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) informó que a fines de abril serían entregados el fuerte policial que albergará a 180 efectivos de la Policía Nacional del Perú y de las Fuerzas Armadas y uno de los puestos de control, que servirán para tener una vigilancia efectiva sobre todo el movimiento de minerales por vía terrestre.

“Solo falta equipamiento para entregar el fuerte y el primer puesto de control. Asimismo, se tiene planificado entregar los otros dos puestos para fines de junio y julio, respectivamente”, dijo el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

El premier estuvo acompañado por el ministro de Defensa, Walter Astudillo; el gobernador regional de La Libertad, César Acuña; y el jefe de la 32.º Brigada de Infantería del Ejército del Perú, Gral. EP Miguel Burgos.

El titular de la PCM resaltó el rol de la Policía Nacional del Perú y las Fuerzas Armadas en la lucha contra la minería ilegal y las organizaciones criminales: “El trabajo que realizan ustedes aquí es muy importante, pues permite que unidades mineras como esta puedan seguir produciendo, generando trabajo, bienestar y desarrollo”, afirmó al dirigirse a los efectivos de la PNP y del Ejército del Perú destacados en Pataz.

El jefe de Gabinete indicó que próximamente en los puestos de control estarán representantes de la Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria (Sunat), la Superintendencia Nacional de Control de Servicios de Seguridad, Armas, Municiones y Explosivos de Uso Civil (Sucamec), la Superintendencia Nacional de Fiscalización Laboral (Sunafil) y otros organismos del Estado orientados a fortalecer la presencia institucional y contribuir con las acciones de control y fiscalización en la provincia.

“Los puestos de control tendrán patios de maniobras, balanzas y equipos para el control de material minero. De ser legal, obtendrá las autorizaciones correspondientes, y de tratarse de material ilegal, será incautado de inmediato y se procederá a ejercer la ley”, resaltó el premier Adrianzén.

CENTRO DE FLAGRANCIA
El jefe de Gabinete informó que también se tiene prevista la construcción de un helipuerto y la implementación de un Centro de Flagrancia, donde convergerán el Poder Judicial, el Ministerio Público, la Defensoría Pública del Ministerio de Justicia y la PNP.

Por su parte, el ministro de Defensa, Walter Astudillo, destacó el trabajo articulado que se desarrolla en Pataz. “La minería ilegal es parte del crimen organizado y el Estado está combatiendo para erradicar esa amenaza. Las Fuerzas Armadas están apoyando a la Policía, pero también se requiere el trabajo del Ministerio Público, del Poder Judicial y del sector privado. Con eso, creemos que tendremos resultados positivos en los próximos meses.

Con estas iniciativas, el Gobierno nacional reafirma su compromiso con la seguridad y el desarrollo de Pataz, implementando medidas concretas para garantizar la protección de las operaciones mineras y el bienestar de la población.

“The checkpoints will have maneuvering yards, scales, and equipment for the control of mining material. If it is legal, it will obtain the corresponding authorizations, and if it is illegal, it will be seized immediately and the law will be enforced,” Prime Minister Adrianzén emphasized.

Flagrancy Center
The Chief of Staff reported that the construction of a heliport and the implementation of a Flagrancy Center are also planned, where the Judiciary, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office of the Ministry of Justice, and the PNP will converge.

For his part, Defense Minister Walter Astudillo highlighted the coordinated work being carried out in Pataz. “Illegal mining is part of organized crime, and the State is working to eradicate this threat. The Armed Forces are supporting the Police, but the work of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary, and the private sector is also required. With this, we believe we will have positive results in the coming months.”

With these initiatives, the national government reaffirms its commitment to the security and development of Pataz, implementing concrete measures to guarantee the protection of mining operations and the well-being of the population.
