“La democracia no puede ceder ante el miedo ni retroceder frente al crimen. Esta ley marca antes y un después, es el primer gran paso para proteger a nuestra Policía y con ello restablecer el verdadero Estado de derecho”, señaló la mandataria.

Según remarcó, con este dispositivo legal se pone fin a leyes que por años priorizaron la vida del delincuente por encima de la de los policías y ciudadanos.

“Eso nunca más volverá a pasar. Eso se acabó”, enfatizó la jefa de Estado durante una nueva sesión del “Cuarto de guerra contra la delincuencia”.

La presidenta Boluarte saludó la decisión del Congreso respecto a esta ley, al considerar que se trata de un paso transcendental para la lucha contra la criminalidad.

“Estamos atacando a la delincuencia desde todos los frentes: con operativos que no cesan y que nos permiten capturar a cabecillas e integrantes de bandas criminales que quieren implantar el terror en nuestras calles. Y con leyes que fortalecen el accionar de nuestra querida Policía Nacional”, puntualizó la mandataria.

La jefa de Estado indicó que con cada golpe certero propinado a sicarios, extorsionadores, traficantes de droga y demás lacras de la sociedad, se va construyendo un Perú con un futuro más seguro.

En la promulgación de esta importante ley realizada en el décimo octavo “Cuarto de guerra”, estuvieron presentes los congresistas Alfredo Azurín Loayza, Tania Ramírez y Luis Kamiche.

Azurín Loayza, ex policía y actual presidente de la Comisión Especial de Seguridad Ciudadana del Congreso, señaló que esta norma legal evitará que los efectivos del orden sean injustamente acusados y maltratados por actuar en defensa de la sociedad.

Respecto a las acciones realizadas en las últimas 24 horas, la presidenta Boluarte informó que se movilizó a 3711 efectivos en Lima y Callao, realizando 541 operativos, que han permitido la detención de 249 personas, de las cuales 230 son peruanos y 19 extranjeros. Además, se intervino a 72 personas con requisitorias.

En tanto, las Fuerzas Armadas realizaron 411 patrullajes, a cargo de 4470 efectivos.

The head of state indicated that with each successful blow dealt to hitmen, extortionists, drug traffickers, and other scourges of society, a Peru with a more secure future is being built.

Congressmen Alfredo Azurín Loayza, Tania Ramírez, and Luis Kamiche were present at the promulgation of this important law during the eighteenth “War Quarter” session.
