En una nueva edición del “Cuarto Guerra” al cumplirse 30 días de iniciado el estado de emergencia en Lima y Callao, la mandataria explicó que su gobierno heredó una institución policial desmoralizada, sin nuevas comisarías y locales en mal estado, sin uniformes o armas. “Nuestro gobierno le ha devuelto el lugar que merece otorgándole un presupuesto histórico”, precisó.

“Sin embargo, faltan dar pasos certeros de coordinación entre instituciones. Por ejemplo, hace unos días en Huancayo unos delincuentes asaltaron un local de la SUNASS, dispararon contra el señor de seguridad, dejándolo malherido. La Policía capturó en tiempo récord a estos criminales y un juez los dejó libres. Estos delincuentes siguen robando, matando y extorsionando”, dijo la presidenta.

Por ello, pidió trabajar unidos, por un mismo camino y un solo objetivo, señalando que el Gobierno continuará coordinando con los alcaldes y gobernadores regionales, a fin de atacar y vencer a la delincuencia desde todos los frentes.

“Y seguiremos monitoreando con los ministros de Estado, Policía nacional y Fuerzas Armadas. Seguiremos en pie de lucha hasta que nuestras calles tengan la tranquilidad que sus ciudadanos merecen”, dijo la mandataria.

Según remarcó, las últimas semanas han sido de una articulación importante entre los poderes del Estado, gobierno local y regional que ha permitido reforzar el trabajo desde distintos frentes en contra del terrorismo urbano.

En ese sentido, la jefa de Estado consideró clave el fortalecimiento a la labor de la Policía Nacional y su accionar contra la criminalidad, regulando el uso de armas letales en caso de flagrancia delictiva.

Seguidamente, la mandataria señaló que la extensión del estado de emergencia en Lima y Callao permitirá continuar con las acciones necesarias para seguir combatiendo y capturando a estos delincuentes que siembran el terror en la población.

“Nuestro mensaje y nuestra voz son claros: los vamos a derrotar, serán capturados y puestos tras las rejas. Este país es de gente trabajadora, no de miserables que viven del sufrimiento de valientes peruanos y peruanas”, sostuvo.
