El evento, que se realizó con la presencia de autoridades universitarias, docentes, estudiantes y personal administrativo, fue un homenaje a la figura histórica del padre de la república del Perú.

Esta actividad institucional de la Universidad Nacional José Faustino Sánchez Carrión contó con la presencia del rector de esta primera casa superior de estudios de la región de Lima, Dr. César Díaz Valladares; el vicerrector de Investigación, Dr. Luis Baldeos Ardían; y los decanos de las 13 facultades, se llevó a cabo el izamiento del Pabellón Nacional y el acto protocolar en conmemoración del bicentenario del fallecimiento del prócer José Faustino Sánchez Carrión.

HOMENAJE A “EL SOLITARIO DE SAYÁN”
El acto protocolar comenzó con el izamiento del Pabellón Nacional, seguido de discursos que resaltaron la importancia del legado de José Faustino Sánchez Carrión, “El Solitario de Sayán”. Se destacó su papel fundamental en la consolidación de la independencia del Perú y la formación de la república, enfatizando sus ideales republicanos y su lucha por la justicia social. Se instó a los presentes, especialmente a los estudiantes, a conocer y comprender la vida y obra de este personaje clave en la historia peruana, promoviendo la investigación y el estudio de su pensamiento. La ceremonia incluyó la colocación de una ofrenda floral en su honor.

DR. CÉSAR ARMANDO DÍAZ VALLADARES
Es el actual rector de la Universidad Nacional José Faustino Sánchez Carrión (UNJFSC) es el Dr. César Armando Díaz Valladares. Su elección fue en diciembre de 2021 y está reconocido como rector a través de la Resolución N.º 0887-2021-UNJFSC. César Díaz Valladares es ingeniero industrial, maestro en administración y doctor en Ciencias de la Educación.

The current rector of the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University (UNJFSC) is Dr. César Armando Díaz Valladares.
