En ese marco, la jefa de Estado destacó que el comercio generado en este terminal portuario aportará al país 1.8 puntos porcentuales al PBI —equivalente a 4500 millones de dólares— y generará 7000 puestos de trabajo, tanto directos como indirectos.

“Chancay simboliza lo que podemos alcanzar como país cuando sumamos esfuerzos, cuando el Estado y la inversión privada trabajan con responsabilidad, visión de largo plazo y compromiso. Hoy celebramos el avance de una infraestructura clave para el comercio exterior, pero también es importante destacar su impacto directo en la vida de todas las peruanas y peruanos”, manifestó.

Durante su visita al terminal, la mandataria resaltó que el uso de este megapuerto reduce de 35 a 25 días el tiempo de transporte hacia Asia, disminuyendo costos logísticos y aumentando la competitividad de los productos peruanos.

“Chancay se convertirá en un eje estratégico dentro de la red de comercio del Pacífico. En ese sentido, invito a los vecinos de la región a utilizar nuestro puerto de Chancay para fortalecer su comercio con el mercado asiático”, expresó.

Seguidamente, la presidenta subrayó que esta megaobra portuaria consolida al Perú como un socio confiable para las inversiones, al ser un país con reglas de juego claras y estabilidad jurídica, que promueve y facilita la inversión privada responsable. Estos factores, afirmó, son reconocidos y valorados a nivel internacional.

“El puerto de Chancay es el inicio de una etapa nueva, donde el desarrollo no se queda en cifras, sino que se traduce en realidades a favor de nuestra población. Chancay es la muestra de que es posible construir un país más justo y competitivo”, puntualizó.

Finalmente, la jefa de Estado afirmó que su Gobierno continuará trabajando con firmeza y sin distracciones, siempre enfocado en generar bienestar para todos los peruanos.

“Ya lo dije, pero lo reitero, mi gobierno no se detiene y continuará haciendo realidad las obras que muchos gobiernos no hicieron. Seguiremos trabajando con optimismo y decisión hasta el último día de nuestra gestión, el 28 de julio de 2026, fecha en la que entregaremos un Perú mucho mejor del que recibimos en diciembre de 2022”, concluyó.

La mandataria visitó las instalaciones del megapuerto de Chancay en compañía del ministro de Transportes y Comunicaciones; César Sandoval Pozo; el presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria Nacional (APN), Juan Carlos Paz; y el gerente general de la empresa concesionaria Cosco Shipping Ports, Chen Lihui.

“Chancay symbolizes what we can achieve as a country when we join forces, when the State and private investment work with responsibility, long-term vision, and commitment. Today we celebrate the advancement of a key infrastructure for foreign trade, but it is also important to highlight its direct impact on the lives of all Peruvians,” she stated.

During her visit to the terminal, the president highlighted that the use of this megaport reduces transportation times to Asia from 35 to 25 days, lowering logistics costs and increasing the competitiveness of Peruvian products.

“Chancay will become a strategic hub within the Pacific trade network. In that sense, I invite the region’s neighbors to use our Port of Chancay to strengthen their trade with the Asian market,” she stated.

The president then emphasized that this mega-port project consolidates Peru as a reliable investment partner, as a country with clear rules and legal stability, which promotes and facilitates responsible private investment. These factors, she affirmed, are recognized and valued internationally.

“The Port of Chancay is the beginning of a new era, where development does not remain in numbers, but rather translates into realities for our population. Chancay is proof that it is possible to build a more fair and competitive country,” she emphasized.

Finally, the head of state affirmed that her government will continue working firmly and without distractions, always focused on generating well-being for all Peruvians.

“I’ve already said it, but I reiterate, my government will not stop and will continue to realize the projects that many governments failed to achieve. We will continue working with optimism and determination until the last day of our administration, July 28, 2026, when we will hand over a much better Peru than the one we received in December 2022,” she concluded.

The president visited the Chancay megaport facilities accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Communications, César Sandoval Pozo; the president of the National Port Authority (APN), Juan Carlos Paz; and the general manager of the concessionaire Cosco Shipping Ports, Chen Lihui.
