La actividad se efectuó en la plaza Neptuno del Cercado y, paralelamente, desde el salón de recepciones del Palacio Municipal de Lima, donde vecinos representantes de diferentes sectores de la ciudad entregaron los cuadernillos del mencionado libro al alcalde de Lima, Jorge Muñoz, para su resguardo, custodia y correcta preservación en el Archivo Histórico Municipal.
La ceremonia contó con la participación artística del grupo Cimarrones, que interpretó el tema “Por los que se fueron”, en la voz de Rosa Guzmán, sobre despedir a los seres queridos y honrar su memoria; seguido del poema musicalizado “El Perú”, de Marco Martos, cuyas palabras proponen caminar y construir juntos un nuevo país.
“200 AÑOS DESPUÉS, UNIDOS HACEMOS HISTORIA”
Luego de ser publicado el Decreto de Alcaldía N.° 26 en el diario oficial El Peruano, se dio inicio al registro presencial y virtual del libro conmemorativo, del 23 de junio al 31 de julio, en distintos módulos de los distritos de Villa El Salvador, Comas, Independencia, San Juan de Lurigancho, Magdalena del Mar, San Juan de Miraflores y el Cercado de Lima.
Además, los cuadernillos fueron solicitados por la Municipalidad de Surquillo y la Municipalidad de Lince, que se sumaron e hicieron suya esta iniciativa. Cabe resaltar que los ciudadanos de Tacna, gracias a la colaboración de la Municipalidad Distrital de Pocollay, y la comunidad nativa de Queros en Cusco también participaron en esta actividad cívico-cultural.
De esta manera la Municipalidad de Lima promueve la identidad cultural; asimismo, a través de la firma del libro por el bicentenario nacional, hizo posible que la ciudadanía reafirmara su espíritu independiente y los valores democráticos que son las bases de la nación.
