De carácter multisectorial, el proyecto representa el área pública más grande que le queda a Lima para desarrollar una ciudad con una adecuada planificación y gestión del territorio sobre más de ocho mil hectáreas.
“Ciudad Bicentenario” comprende un conjunto de proyectos estratégicos nacionales, como el Parque Industrial de Ancón, el principal polo industrial del Perú; una zona residencial de 280 hectáreas que albergará a unos 115 mil habitantes; y la plataforma logística intermodal más importante del país, que aliviará el tráfico del puerto del Callao y se conectará con el futuro puerto de Chancay.
Asimismo, una zona de dos mil hectáreas para forestación con reúso de aguas residuales tratadas, que le sumará a Lima Metropolitana el equivalente al 60% de área verde pública que hoy tiene la ciudad; y el principal Parque de las Ciencias del país, que incluye el desarrollo del Jardín Botánico Nacional.
Finalmente la convocatoria señala día jueves 19 de agosto, a horas 08:00 a.m. en la Ciudad Bicentenario, panamericana norte kilometro 43.698 en el distrito de Ancón.

Likewise, an area of two thousand hectares for afforestation with reuse of treated wastewater, which will add to Metropolitan Lima the equivalent of 60% of the public green area that the city has today; and the country’s main Science Park, which includes the development of the National Botanical Garden.
