Este equipo permitirá reducir la brecha de oxígeno en esta zona de la capital y estar mejor preparados frente a una eventual tercera ola de la pandemia de la COVID-19.

En la ceremonia de inauguración, el titular de la PCM afirmó que en medio de la pandemia un balón de oxígeno representa la vida. Narró que pudo vivir esta realidad cuando contrajo la COVID-19 durante las últimas semanas de la pasada campaña electoral.

Indicó que por ello es importante que los esfuerzos del Gobierno estén orientados a consolidar plantas de oxígeno en diversas zonas del país, para que en una eventual tercera ola, podamos disponer de los elementos para defendernos de la pandemia.

En ese sentido, agradeció a la empresa Unión Andina de Cementos y Asociación (UNACEM) y a la DIRIS Lima Sur del Ministerio de Salud, que mediante un convenio de cooperación interinstitucional hizo posible el funcionamiento de esta planta de oxígeno que va a generar 60 balones de oxígeno por día y que estará al alcance de la población de los distritos sureños como Villa María del Triunfo, Pachacamac y otros.

Durante la puesta en funcionamiento de esta planta, el presidente del Consejo de Ministros estuvo acompañado del viceministro de Prestaciones y Aseguramiento en Salud, Bernardo Ostos; el director de la DIRIS Lima Sur, Alberto Tejada; representantes de UNACEM; así como autoridades distritales y representantes de organizaciones vecinales.

El premier Guido Bellido también llamó a la unión de los peruanos y a dejar atrás cualquier encono, a fin de que el Estado pueda trabajar a favor del pueblo que se siente olvidado y golpeado por la corrupción. “Todos debemos luchar por un país donde sus ciudadanos tengan las mismas oportunidades. Por eso, desde el Ejecutivo debemos garantizar la salud y la alimentación”, dijo al destacar que el Gobierno está destinando más de S/ 90 millones para la alimentación de población vulnerable.

En declaraciones a la prensa, el titular de la PCM lamentó y pidió disculpas por los incidentes ocurridos con reporteros de medios de comunicación, al tiempo de indicar que se espera mantener una relación directa, amistosa, oportuna y de respeto mutuo con la prensa.

In that sense, he thanked the company Unión Andina de Cementos y Asociacion (UNACEM) and the DIRIS Lima Sur of the Ministry of Health, which through an inter-institutional cooperation agreement made possible the operation of this oxygen plant that will generate 60 balloons of oxygen per day and that will be available to the population of southern districts such as Villa María del Triunfo, Pachacamac and others.
