Dicha ceremonia de entrega se realizó en los ambientes del rectorado de dicha casa de estudios.
En la ceremonia estuvieron presentes el rector doctor Edwin Omar Vences Martínez, Ronald Savinsky, encargado de la oficina de salud y ocupación en el trabajo de la UNP, y por parte de la iglesia asistieron Edgar Silva Julián líder local de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en Piura y Patricia Cáceres de Bustamante directora de Comunicación.
En la ceremonia el Rector agradeció a la iglesia por esta importante donación que servirá para atender a los pacientes que se atienden en el hospital universitario, él recalcó que la atención de dicho nosocomio está dirigida hacia 18 mil estudiantes, 1,000 docentes, aproximadamente 1,500 trabajadores y también a familiares de los alumnos.
Recordó que en los momentos más altos de la pandemia se hacía difícil y oneroso conseguir balones con oxígeno y que estos concentradores facilitaran mucho el trabajo del personal médico. Por su parte Edgar Silva comentó la labor que la iglesia realiza apoyando a través de su programa de bienestar, proyectos como este que ayudan a salvar vidas y que solo tratamos de seguir el ejemplo del Salvador Jesucristo que siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar a los demás.
