C., para fortalecer los lazos comerciales y de inversión entre ambas naciones del continente.

CÁMARA DE COMERCIO AMERICANA DEL PERÚ
La Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú (AmCham Perú) es una organización independiente y sin fines de lucro, fundada el 30 de abril de 1960, que cuenta con más de 5,000 representantes de 580 empresas asociadas entre peruanas, estadounidenses y extranjeras no americanas. Promueve los principios que alientan la economía, el mercado, la inversión y el intercambio comercial, todo ello en un marco de responsabilidad social, valores y ética empresarial.

Todos los socios de AmCham Perú forman parte de la Asociación de Cámaras de Comercio Americanas en América Latina (AACCLA), la cual cuenta con 24 cámaras de comercio en 28 países de América Latina y el Caribe. AACCLA está conformada por más de 20,000 asociados que reúnen el 80% de las inversiones americanas en la región y forma parte de la Cámara de Comercio de los Estados Unidos (USCC), la federación de empresarios más grande del mundo con más de 3 millones de asociados.

AGENDA DE TRABAJO TRATADA
Entre los temas que se abordaron figuran: fortalecer el diálogo público y privado del Perú y los Estados Unidos por la promoción de oportunidades, de comercio e inversión en ambos países para recuperar la economía, lucha contra la pandemia, superar la exclusión social y la protección del medio ambiente, en un marco de estabilidad macroeconómica.

Durante la reunión, el mandatario les ratificó el compromiso de su gobierno de garantizar la estabilidad económica y la seguridad jurídica del país, para fomentar un adecuado clima de inversiones que permita sacar adelante el Perú.

El presidente Castillo destacó la importancia de la cita, que se llevó a cabo en el marco de la visita oficial que realiza a los Estados Unidos, previo a su participación en la sesión del Consejo Permanente de la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA) y el Debate General de la 76° Asamblea General de la ONU.

La reunión fue organizada por la Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú (AmCham Perú), el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y la Embajada del Perú en los Estados Unidos, se realizó en el Hotel Jefferson de Washington y en ella también participaron los ministros de Economía y Finanzas, Pedro Francke; y de Relaciones Exteriores, Óscar Maúrtua.

During the meeting, the president ratified his government’s commitment to guarantee the economic stability and legal security of the country, to promote an adequate investment climate that allows Peru to move forward.

President Castillo highlighted the importance of the meeting, which took place within the framework of his official visit to the United States, prior to his participation in the session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the General Debate of the 76th UN General Assembly.
