En su presentación Muñoz resaltó la colaboración entre la Municipalidad de Lima y el Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), y habló de la necesidad de impulsar una estrategia dirigida a promover biodiversidades.

“Vivimos varias megatendencias en el mundo, una de ellas es el cambio climático; megatendencias que tenemos que enfrentar y que nos tocaron vivir en situación de pandemia. Por ello, como gestión hemos trabajado dos planes: uno sobre la recuperación del Centro Histórico y otro de acción climática”, sostuvo.

El alcalde de Lima anunció, además, que logró consolidar con la CAF el financiamiento no reembolsable para el Plan de Recuperación del Río Rímac, equivalente a US$600 mil, a fin de devolverle protagonismo a este afluente, como eje vertebrador de la ciudad, recuperando el paisaje hídrico, urbano e histórico y revalorando su figura como corredor ecológico metropolitano.

“Siempre he creído en la potencia de las alianzas: uno solo puede tener buenas ideas, pero todo mejora en la medida que haya otros actores. También necesitamos cooperación y apoyo para lograr, de esta manera, las ciudades del futuro que estamos necesitando”, indicó Muñoz.

Durante el World Law Congress, el burgomaestre volvió a poner énfasis en la necesidad de establecer estrategias, a fin de promover biodiversidades. Así, remarcó la importancia de los proyectos paisajísticos, como la recuperación del río Rímac, que busca intervenir 4 km del afluente, desde el puente Ejército hasta el puente Santa Rosa, con un área de influencia de casi 170 hectáreas.

Cabe indicar que desde el 4 al 8 de diciembre el alcalde Muñoz visita París (Francia), con el objetivo de fortalecer la defensa legal de la comuna limeña en el proceso de arbitraje internacional iniciado contra de la empresa Limex, para que se declare la nulidad del cuestionado contrato de concesión de la Línea Amarilla.

During the World Congress of Law, the mayor once again emphasized the need to establish strategies in order to promote biodiversity. Thus, he stressed the importance of landscape projects, such as the recovery of the Rímac River, which seeks to intervene 4 km of the tributary, from the Army Bridge to the Santa Rosa Bridge, with an area of ​​influence of almost 170 hectares.

It should be noted that from December 4 to 8, Mayor Muñoz visits Paris (France), with the aim of strengthening the legal defense of the Lima commune in the international arbitration process initiated against the Limex company, so that the nullity is declared of the disputed concession contract for the Yellow Line.
