Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El Punto Focal Peruano del programa Mujeres para la Ciencia de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias (ANC) y la Red Interamericana de Academias de Ciencias (IANAS), liderado por la doctora Ruth Shady Solís, convoca a las mujeres profesionales y estudiantes a participar en el “Taller: Revalorando el Rol de la Mujer Científica de la Macrorregión Sur”, a desarrollarse de manera virtual el jueves 27 y viernes 28 de enero de 2022.

El encuentro gratuito busca fomentar que las mujeres -de los diferentes campos científicos- de las regiones del sur del país, conformen una red de interacción entre las academias de ciencias de Perú, Bolivia, Chile y Uruguay. Con esta red se espera empoderar a la mujer peruana a través de la formación en ciencia y tecnología.

Asimismo, este encuentro de científicas promoverá la conformación de equipos de investigación interinstitucionales y multidisciplinarios, en beneficio de la producción científica y tecnológica, con el fin de que estas se apliquen a la realidad de cada región de la que provienen las participantes.

Al finalizar el taller, las mujeres científicas, conformadas en siete grupos de acción, presentarán una agenda de trabajo anual que busque optimizar la labor de las científicas; entre ellas, proponer la implementación de programas educativos enfocados en las niñas y jóvenes, con el fin de asegurar el empoderamiento académico y profesional temprano en la mujer.

A la fecha el Punto Focal Peruano de Mujeres para la Ciencia ha desarrollado, desde el 2015, siete talleres, entre nacionales y regionales, con el fin de lograr el empoderamiento de las mujeres en las diferentes ramas científicas. El último se realizó en 2021, también de modo virtual, y convocó con éxito a las científicas de la Macrorregión Norte.

At the end of the workshop, the women scientists, formed into seven action groups, will present an annual work agenda that seeks to optimize the work of women scientists; among them, proposing the implementation of educational programs focused on girls and young people, in order to ensure early academic and professional empowerment in women.

FACT
To date, the Peruvian Focal Point of Women for Science has developed, since 2015, seven workshops, between national and regional, in order to achieve the empowerment of women in the different scientific branches. The last one was held in 2021, also virtually, and successfully summoned scientists from the North Macroregion.
