Este espacio recreativo fue cerrado debido a la pandemia, sin embargo, hace algunas semanas se empezó a desarrollar ciertas de actividades de recuperación para reabrir sus puertas tanto a niños, jóvenes y adolescentes para practicar actividades deportivas y recreativas, cumpliendo con los protocolos sanitarios y el aforo de acuerdo a las disposiciones del gobierno nacional. 

En el inicio de la jornada de limpieza y desinfección estuvo presente el alcalde de la provincia de Cajamarca, Andrés Villar Narro quien expresó su agradecimiento a los jóvenes voluntarios por su colaboración para junto al personal de limpieza de la Municipalidad desarrollar esta importante actividad.

“Quiero sumarme al agradecimiento a los colectivos sociales, a jóvenes voluntarios como ustedes que nos ayudan a sensibilizar a la población en el cuidado ambiental y en el desarrollo de nuestras actividades sostenibles. Ya el año pasado recibimos su apoyo y esperamos que en el presente año este apoyo continué porque necesitamos convencer a toda la población, que el cuidado del mundo es una responsabilidad compartida que no solamente corresponde a las autoridades, a empresas, a colectivos y jóvenes voluntarios, sino que todos tenemos la obligación de cuidar la casa que Dios nos ha dado y en donde desarrollamos nuestras actividades”, señaló la autoridad municipal.
