Se ubica en el cruce de la avenida Del Parque Norte y el jirón Remington, frente al Parque de la Familia.

En el acto protocolar estuvieron presentes el ministro del Interior, Alfonso Chávarry; el alcalde de San Borja, Alberto Tejada; el comandante general de la Policía Nacional, Vicente Tiburcio; y el representante de la embajada de Japón en Perú, Ryouske Yamakura; entre otras autoridades.

“Ponemos en práctica una visión de protección social en la que involucramos la seguridad, la salud pública, y la prevención de emergencias y desastres. La gestión de la información se realiza de forma eficaz, de la mano con las instituciones del gobierno central. Este es un paso adelante para demostrar lo que podemos hacer si trabajamos juntos en beneficio de los ciudadanos”, comentó el alcalde Tejada.

Por su parte, el ministro Chávarry destacó la integración entre la Policía Nacional, el Serenazgo Municipal y el Ministerio Público, que han logrado reducir el índice delictivo en San Borja. “Este trabajo en favor de la seguridad de sus vecinos es un ejemplo a imitar en todo el país. De manera organizada, con tecnología e involucrando a la ciudadanía, se pueden reducir los niveles de inseguridad”, añadió.

ESTRATEGIA INTEGRAL
El Observatorio de San Borja cuenta un total de 40 nuevas pantallas para el monitoreo permanente de las 222 cámaras de videovigilancia con las que cuenta el distrito. Del mismo modo, para la visualización -en tiempo real- de las imágenes de los seis drones que recorren el distrito y de las 20 cámaras testigo de los vehículos del Serenazgo Municipal.

Fue presentado el nuevo dronpuerto, desde donde operan equipos que emiten alertas sonoras y mensajes de voz, indicando la vigilancia permanente en zonas de alta concurrencia. Tienen capacidad para 50 minutos de vuelo ininterrumpido y están disponibles para apoyar en otros distritos de la capital, por ejemplo en la búsqueda de personas, la atención de accidentes o incendios, transmitiendo simultáneamente y en tiempo real a la central de videovigilancia.

En este renovado espacio funciona también el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia Distrital (COED), que ya cuenta con equipos receptores de alta tecnología para recibir las alertas de sismo y tsunami provenientes del Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) y el Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (Indeci). Este sistema funcionará con sirenas ubicadas en zonas estratégicas, para emitir alarmas con un alcance de hasta 3 kilómetros.

Y también alberga en sus instalaciones el Observatorio Municipal de Salud, que que es gestionado por la primera gerencia de Red Integrada de Salud a nivel de gobiernos locales, para el manejo de información epidemiológica y la articulación de estrategias sanitarias de intervención territorial para atender la salud pública, como sucedió durante los dos años de pandemia del Covid-19.

COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGY
The San Borja Observatory has a total of 40 new screens for the permanent monitoring of the 222 video surveillance cameras that the district has.
