De esta manera, entre el 8 y el 11 de marzo, se participó en el Grupo de Trabajo sobre Soborno en Transacciones Comerciales Internacionales de la OCDE, en la evaluación que realizó junto con expertos de Letonia sobre el Informe Fase 2 de Costa Rica.

Cabe indicar que el Perú es miembro del Grupo de Trabajo de Altos Funcionarios de Integridad Pública de la OCDE y, desde el año 2020, adherente a las recomendaciones de integridad gubernamental de dicha organización, la que ha desarrollado tres estudios sobre la materia en nuestro país. Asimismo, ha solventado la primera y segunda fase de evaluación sobre los avances normativos para combatir el soborno transnacional (2019 y 2021).

Asimismo, entre el 14 y el 17 de marzo se participó en la 37.a Reunión del Comité de Expertos del Mecanismo de Seguimiento de la Convención Interamericana contra la Corrupción (MESICIC). En ese encuentro nuestro país presentó los alcances del proyecto de la Plataforma de Debida Diligencia del Sector Público, así como las iniciativas en desarrollo para la mejora de los mecanismos de denuncia y protección al denunciante de actos de corrupción, además del avance en la implementación de las recomendaciones efectuadas por esta organización.

Como es de conocimiento público, el pasado 25 de febrero, el Gobierno del Perú y la Secretaría General de la OEA suscribieron un acuerdo de cooperación y asistencia técnica, para fortalecer las capacidades de los entes responsables de la prevención y el combate a la corrupción, en un acto realizado en Palacio de Gobierno con el presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo.

De igual modo, se participó en la reunión regional para la aceleración de la implementación de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas contra la Corrupción, en la ciudad de México, del 14 al 17 de marzo. En la cita se definieron prioridades de trabajo conjunto al año 2024 y se presentaron los alcances del Proyecto de Ley N.°00676/2021-PE, desarrollado por el Ejecutivo para modificar la Ley N.°30424, con el objetivo de asegurar la responsabilidad administrativa de las personas jurídicas por el delito de soborno trasnacional, enfocándose en el desarrollo del modelo de prevención y su vinculación con la acción penal.

Cabe recordar que, durante la última sesión de la Comisión de Alto Nivel Anticorrupción, un representante de la Oficina de las Naciones contra la Droga y el Delito reconoció la aprobación de la Estrategia de Integridad del Poder Ejecutivo al 2022, comprometiendo la cooperación y la asistencia técnica de dicha organización para el logro de sus objetivos.

Al respecto, Eloy Munive, secretario de Integridad Pública de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros, señaló que nuestro país sigue avanzando en la implementación de recomendaciones y buenas prácticas internacionales, con el objetivo de elevar los estándares de integridad en las entidades de la administración pública. Asimismo, enfatizó la necesidad de fortalecer la adopción de herramientas y la articulación entre las entidades públicas para incrementar su capacidad preventiva y defensiva frente a este grave flagelo.

Peru strengthens its participation in international spaces OECD, OAS and United Nations in the fight against corruption.

It should be noted that Peru is a member of the Working Group of Senior Public Integrity Officials of the OECD and, since 2020, adherent to the government integrity recommendations of said organization, which has developed three studies on the matter in our country. . Likewise, it has resolved the first and second evaluation phases on regulatory advances to combat transnational bribery (2019 and 2021).

As is public knowledge, on February 25, the Government of Peru and the General Secretariat of the OAS signed a cooperation and technical assistance agreement to strengthen the capacities of the entities responsible for preventing and combating corruption, in a ceremony held at the Government Palace with the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.

Likewise, it participated in the regional meeting to accelerate the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, in Mexico City, from March 14 to 17.
