La ceremonia fue presidida por la titular del Poder Judicial, Elvia Barrios, quien estuvo acompañada por el juez supremo Héctor Lama More; el representante del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), César Rivera; la directora ejecutiva del Programa de Mejoramiento de los Servicios de Justicia Penal en el Perú, Rosmary Cornejo; y, de manera virtual, los presidentes/as de las 34 cortes superiores del país.

Barrios Alvarado enfatizó la importancia de avanzar con el desarrollo e implementación del EJE en materia penal, a fin de mejorar la eficiencia, acceso, transparencia y satisfacción de los usuarios del servicio de justicia.

“Cada vez más estamos incorporando tecnologías de la información en la administración de justicia como parte de la transformación digital de la institución”, anotó.

La magistrada informó que la especialidad penal representa el 23. 8 % de toda la carga procesal del Poder Judicial y hasta la fecha se maneja de forma física.

SOFTWARE AVANZADO
Los equipos informáticos serán entregados a los presidentes de las cortes superiores para ser instalados en los “puntos de análisis de información” de los órganos jurisdiccionales.

Cada “punto de análisis” consta de un escáner de alta gama con software OCR avanzado, un CPU, un monitor de 31” y una Unidad de Almacenamiento de Energía (UPS), los cuales serán distribuidos desde hoy y hasta la primera semana de junio a cada corte superior.

Barrios Alvarado destacó que los “puntos de análisis de información” a instalarse en las cortes superiores, son importantes porque utilizan un software especializado que permitirá obtener información para desarrollar el EJE.

En tanto, el representante del BID, César Rivera, resaltó que “estamos frente a un primer paso que puede marcar un cambio en la historia del Poder Judicial, ahora todos los expedientes (en materia penal) que ingresan por Mesa de Partes podrán ser digitalizados y realizar diversas acciones para mejorar y dar celeridad a los procesos”.

Durante la ceremonia se hizo una demostración del funcionamiento de los equipos informáticos en la Mesa de Partes Penal de la Corte Suprema, en la cual se constató el proceso de escaneado de los documentos (125 páginas por minuto) y las bondades que brinda el software especializado.

BENEFICIOS
Con la implementación de los equipos informáticos se podrán registrar automáticamente los datos consignados en el expediente ingresado por Mesa de Partes, con lo que disminuirá el tiempo de atención. Estos documentos serán convertidos a documentos de texto editables.

Asimismo se podrá realizar la búsqueda avanzada de información a través de palabras claves y se centralizará la información a nivel nacional en una sola base de datos.

También se eliminarán las hojas en blanco, las manchas de impresión y otros errores de la documentación.

With the implementation of the computer equipment, the data consigned in the file entered by the Parties Table can be automatically registered, which will reduce the attention time. These documents will be converted to editable text documents.

It will also be possible to carry out an advanced search for information through keywords and the information will be centralized at the national level in a single database.
