El lunes 29 de agosto, el jefe de Estado peruano Pedro Castillo Terrones, junto a sus pares, Luis Arce, de Bolivia; Gustavo Petro, de Colombia; y Guillermo Lasso, de Ecuador, se reunirán en una cumbre regional en nuestro país con ocasión del XXII Consejo Presidencial Andino, donde el Perú asumirá la Presidencia Pro Témpore (PPT) de la Comunidad Andina (CAN).

Así el plan de trabajo del Perú tendrá como prioridad la promoción de acciones orientadas a mejorar la calidad de vida de la población andina. Poniendo énfasis en acciones concretas conjuntas en favor de:
• El desarrollo de las zonas de fronteras
• La ampliación del libre flujo de bienes y servicios.
• La agenda de género.
• La protección del medio ambiente y mitigación de los efectos del cambio climático.
• La interconexión física y digital de la zona andina, entre otros.

Todos estos lineamientos guiarán al Perú para adecuar el proceso de integración subregional andino al nuevo contexto internacional e interno de nuestros países y los retos que conlleva a partir de una reingeniería social, que permita acercar la CAN al ciudadano de a pie.

La reingeniería social implica pues:
• Identificar los temas que los países miembros tienen interés en impulsar, enfocados en generar políticas con valor público orientadas al ciudadano.
• Captar las demandas y necesidades de la población, así como la reducción de la desigualdad en la subregión andina.

En suma, ese será el trabajo y la labor del Perú al asumir en liderazgo en la Presidencia Pro Témpore (PPT) de la Comunidad Andina (CAN).

On Monday, August 29, the Peruvian Head of State Pedro Castillo Terrones, along with his peers, Luis Arce, from Bolivia; Gustavo Petro, from Colombia; and Guillermo Lasso, from Ecuador, will meet at a regional summit in our country on the occasion of the XXII Andean Presidential Council, where Peru will assume the Pro Tempore Presidency (PPT) of the Andean Community (CAN).

Thus, Peru’s work plan will have as a priority the promotion of actions aimed at improving the quality of life of the Andean population. Emphasizing joint concrete actions in favor of:
• The development of border areas
• The expansion of the free flow of goods and services.
• The gender agenda.
• The protection of the environment and mitigation of the effects of climate change.
• The physical and digital interconnection of the Andean zone, among others.

All these guidelines will guide Peru to adapt the Andean subregional integration process to the new international and internal context of our countries and the challenges that it entails from a social reengineering, which allows bringing the CAN closer to ordinary citizens.

Social reengineering therefore implies:
• Identify the issues that the member countries are interested in promoting, focused on generating policies with public value oriented to the citizen.
• Capturing the demands and needs of the population, as well as reducing inequality in the Andean subregion.

In short, that will be the work and labor of Peru when assuming leadership in the Pro Tempore Presidency (PPT) of the Andean Community (CAN).
