Fue durante su intervención en la Mesa por la Paz y la Gobernabilidad “Con Punche Regional – Lambayeque”, reunión que fue encabezada por la presidenta de la República, Dina Boluarte, y que contó con la participación del jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, Alberto Otárola; ministros de Estado, el gobernador regional Jorge Pérez y alcaldes provinciales y distritales de Lambayeque.

Señaló que la problemática de la contaminación del agua potable no solo se presenta en Lambayeque, sino también en otras regiones del país.

Dijo que, si bien la Autoridad Nacional del Agua (ANA) tiene competencia directa en este tema, es importante que se aborde multisectorialmente por cuanto se trata de agua potable para el consumo humano.

“En esta comisión estarían presentes los ministerios de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Ambiente, Salud, Energía y Minas y Vivienda”, adelantó.

Posteriormente, la ministra de Vivienda, junto a su equipo técnico y autoridades locales, inspeccionó el pozo de agua instalado por su sector en Huaca Rivera, distrito de Pacora, el cual ha permitido solucionar el problema de la contaminación de arsénico en esta zona urbana.

Señaló que se evalúa técnicamente conectar el pozo a las zonas rurales que todavía presentan el problema del agua contaminada.

En tanto se concrete este proyecto, se implementará la iniciativa “Yaku Thaya”, que permitirá abastecer a la población de manera temporal, con agua potable de calidad a través de tanques ubicados en puntos estratégicos, que serán llenados con cisternas de la EPS.

MESA TÉCNICA
Durante su intervención en la Mesa por la Paz y la Gobernabilidad “Con Punche Regional – Lambayeque”, la titular de Vivienda anunció también que en marzo se instalará una mesa técnica con el fin de destrabar y acelerar proyectos de inversión en agua, saneamiento y vivienda, que permitan atender estas necesidades de la población de esta región.

Explicó que las mesas de trabajo se desarrollarán el 9 y 10 de marzo con participación de las autoridades regionales y ediles a quienes se les brindará asistencia técnica en la sustentación y elaboración de expedientes técnicos o reactivar obras paralizadas que contribuyan al cierre de brechas en agua, alcantarillado y vivienda.

Anotó que este año, el presupuesto total que tiene el Estado para agua y saneamiento en Lambayeque, asciende a S/ 140 millones, de los cuales el 56% lo ejecutan los gobiernos subnacionales y el resto el Ministerio de Vivienda.

La representante del Poder Ejecutivo pidió a las autoridades regionales, provinciales y distritales de Lambayeque tomar en cuenta el plan regional de agua y saneamiento aprobado para este año.

“Es muy importante que logremos el destrabe y aceleración de los proyectos que están en los gobiernos subnacionales, por cuanto no solo va a beneficiar a la población, sino que también va a impactar en la ejecución presupuestal de la región y a su vez permitir que el Ministerio de Economía pueda asignar mayores recursos para atender otras necesidades”, apuntó.
