En el acto, que tuvo lugar en el distrito de Mazamari, provincia de Satipo (Junín), el premier sostuvo que la selva central es una zona muy importante para el país y por ello se tienen que impulsar avances, atendiendo sus necesidades y asignando presupuesto para colocarla en la senda del progreso.

“A través de este esfuerzo multisectorial, se busca mejorar las condiciones de vida de la población de la selva central y el desarrollo territorial descentralizado de los departamentos de Junín, Pasco, Huánuco, Cusco y Ayacucho”, precisó Otárola Peñaranda.

Añadió que el Gobierno emitió en marzo el marco legal para lograr ese objetivo. Ello a través de un decreto supremo que propone la implementación de acciones en torno a las necesidades de los pueblos indígenas u originarios afiliados a la Asociación Regional de Pueblos Indígenas de la Selva Central (ARPI SC) y a la Organización Regional de Nacionalidades Amazónicas de Selva Central (ORNASEC), de los departamentos en mención.

“Este decreto supremo dice que los pueblos indígenas u originarios han expresado sus necesidades y demandas, pero que tenemos que avanzar hacia políticas públicas en beneficio de los pueblos”, manifestó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

DEVIDA
El presidente del Consejo de Ministros anunció también la asignación de presupuesto para que la Comisión Nacional para el Desarrollo y Vida sin Drogas (Devida) realice un trabajo focalizado en Satipo.

Señaló que la decisión de la presidenta Dina Boluarte es fortalecer la lucha contra el narcotráfico, trabajando con la ciudadanía, a través del organismo antidrogas.

La instalación de la Comisión permitirá la conformación de grupos de trabajo para atender diferentes demandas, así como la problemática de los pueblos originarios de selva central: Asháninka, Asheninka, Kakinte, Matsigenka, Nomatsiguenga, Yanesha y Yine.

En la jornada participaron las ministras de Cultura, Leslie Urteaga; Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Nelly Paredes; Ambiente, Albina Ruiz; y nueve viceministros de las carteras de Salud, Economía y Finanzas, Interior, Educación, Transportes y Comunicaciones, Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Energía y Minas, Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, junto al viceministro de Gobernanza Territorial de la PCM, Paúl Caiguaray Pérez. También estuvieron presentes autoridades regionales, locales y de la sociedad civil.

The government installed a multisectoral commission to meet the demands of indigenous peoples in the central jungle of the country.

At the ceremony, which took place in the district of Mazamari, province of Satipo (Junín), the premier said that the central jungle is a very important area for the country and therefore progress must be promoted, meeting their needs and allocating budget to set it on the path of progress.

“Through this multisectoral effort, it seeks to improve the living conditions of the population of the central jungle and the decentralized territorial development of the departments of Junín, Pasco, Huánuco, Cusco and Ayacucho,” said Otárola Peñaranda.

He added that the Government issued in March the legal framework to achieve that objective. This through a supreme decree that proposes the implementation of actions around the needs of the indigenous or native peoples affiliated to the Regional Association of Indigenous Peoples of the Central Selva (ARPI SC) and the Regional Organization of Amazonian Nationalities of the Central Selva (ORNASEC), of the mentioned departments.

“This supreme decree says that the indigenous or native peoples have expressed their needs and demands, but that we have to move towards public policies for the benefit of the peoples,” said the head of the Ministerial Cabinet.

The President of the Council of Ministers also announced the allocation of a budget for the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) to carry out work focused on Satipo.

He pointed out that the decision of President Dina Boluarte is to strengthen the fight against drug trafficking, working with citizens, through the anti-drug agency.

The installation of the Commission will allow the formation of working groups to address different demands, as well as the problems of the native peoples of the central jungle: Asháninka, Asheninka, Kakinte, Matsigenka, Nomatsiguenga, Yanesha and Yine.

The Ministers of Culture, Leslie Urteaga; Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Nelly Paredes; Environment, Albina Ruiz; and nine deputy ministers from the portfolios of Health, Economy and Finance, Interior, Education, Transport and Communications, Justice and Human Rights, Energy and Mines, Development and Social Inclusion, together with the deputy minister of Territorial Governance of the PCM, Paúl Caiguaray Pérez. Regional and local authorities and civil society were also present.
