Durante la mesa técnica “Eficiencia de la ejecución de infraestructura pública en el Perú” de la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas de Servicios para Proyectos es un organismo operacional de las Naciones Unidas (UNOPS), el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial indicó que la ANI, además de tener alcance nacional y vocación de permanencia, contará con un modelo administrativo que atraiga a los mejores profesionales.

“Para contar con una entidad potente, vamos a implementar un modelo administrativo y laboral de excelencia y meritocracia, que convoque a los mejores profesionales del país, con vocación de servicio, para que ayuden a resolver el problema de infraestructura que afecta la vida de millones de peruanas y peruanos”, señaló el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM).

Otárola Peñaranda explicó que la primera tarea de la autoridad será destrabar las 1897 obras paralizadas en las distintas regiones del país. Además, priorizará la administración de alrededor de 75 proyectos emblemáticos, que están registrados en el Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas, y de aproximadamente 385 proyectos de mediana envergadura.

Asimismo, Otárola anunció que el Gobierno trabaja para que el presupuesto público del 2024 esté destinado principalmente a cerrar la brecha de agua y desagüe en el país.

“Cerca de 45% de peruanos en el país no tienen acceso a este servicio básico. Por ello, vamos a convocar a la unidad de todos los actores económicos y sociales del país, para dotar de agua y desagüe a nuestros compatriotas”, añadió.

Por su parte, el director regional de UNOPS, Fabrizio Feliciani, destacó la importancia de reflexionar sobre la implementación de infraestructura que genere riqueza y que sea inclusiva y resiliente, dado que la necesidad de infraestructura sostenible en América Latina y el Caribe tiene un impacto directo en lo económico, social y ambiental.

En la cita participaron funcionarios de diversas entidades de Gobierno y contó con las intervenciones de la ministra de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Paola Lazarte; de los exministros Juan Jiménez, Milton von Hesse y Miguel Castilla; del especialista regional del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo en temas de infraestructura y energía, José Ramón Gómez; y del representante del Gremio de Construcción e Ingeniería de la Cámara de Comercio de Lima, Carlos Ugaz Montero.
