Este evento, organizado por la Unión Europea en el Perú, IDEA Internacional y el Instituto Prensa y Sociedad (IPYS), se centrará en el tema “Periodismo y Democracia” y contará con la participación de reconocidos periodistas e investigadores de todo el mundo.
Durante el encuentro se abordarán temas como la cobertura periodística de procesos políticos en contextos de polarización, los retos para el periodismo en el combate contra las campañas de desinformación, las experiencias periodísticas en el reporteo de la protesta social, y el estado de la libertad de prensa en Europa y América Latina.
Además, se llevarán a cabo una serie de talleres en los que se abordarán temas como las campañas electorales y el crimen organizado, las técnicas periodísticas para la cobertura de guerra y migración, las herramientas para cazar desinformación en procesos electorales, y los protocolos de seguridad para periodistas.
El evento se realizará de manera presencial en el Centro Cultural PUCP (Av. Camino Real 1075, San Isidro). El ingreso es libre; sin embargo, el aforo es limitado, por lo que se sugiere asistir con anticipación. Si no puedes asistir de forma presencial, el evento también será transmitido vía streaming desde las páginas de Facebook de IPYS, IDEA y la Unión Europea en Perú.
