La transferencia de los recursos se concretó a través de un convenio que suscribieron el director ejecutivo del Programa Nacional de Saneamiento Urbano (PNSU), Jonatan Ríos Morales, en representación del MVCS, y el alcalde provincial de Alto Amazonas, Roy Saldaña Reyes.
El director del PNSU resaltó la importancia del acuerdo por cuanto va a permitir el desarrollo de este importante proyecto que contribuirá a cerrar las brechas de agua y saneamiento en la región Loreto.
Dijo también que el Ministerio de Vivienda viene promoviendo la instalación de mesas técnicas en regiones a fin de impulsar el destrabe de proyectos a favor de la población.
Por su parte, el alcalde Roy Saldaña señaló que, este primer desembolso, permitirá iniciar la primera etapa del proyecto integral de agua potable y alcantarillado en Yurimaguas, tras más de 17 años de espera.
Destacó que se logró viabilizar el proyecto, valorizado en más de S/ 193 millones, gracias a un trabajo articulado con el Poder Ejecutivo, a través del Ministerio de Vivienda.

The transfer of resources was completed through an agreement signed by the executive director of the National Urban Sanitation Program (PNSU), Jonatan Ríos Morales, representing the MVCS, and the provincial mayor of Alto Amazonas, Roy Saldaña Reyes.
The director of the PNSU highlighted the importance of the agreement in that it will allow the development of this important project that will contribute to closing the water and sanitation gaps in the Loreto region.
He also said that the Ministry of Housing has been promoting the installation of technical tables in regions in order to promote the unlocking of projects in favor of the population.
For his part, Mayor Roy Saldaña said that this first disbursement will allow the start of the first stage of the comprehensive potable water and sewerage project in Yurimaguas, after more than 17 years of waiting.
He highlighted that the project, valued at more than S/ 193 million, was made viable, thanks to an articulated work with the Executive Power, through the Ministry of Housing.
