Mediante dicha iniciativa, que tendrá una inversión anual de 200 millones de soles a partir de 2023, se ejecutarán proyectos de desarrollo, en cumplimiento de los compromisos asumidos con las autoridades locales, los representantes de las comunidades y la sociedad civil loretana.

“Este plan atenderá las necesidades básicas de la población, el desarrollo territorial, agrario, la conectividad, y se ejecutará con la participación de las comunidades nativas y el consenso de todos”, enfatizó la jefa de Estado durante el IV Congreso de Emprendedores Amazónicos 2023.

En su discurso, la mandataria ratificó el compromiso del Ejecutivo de trabajar por el desarrollo integral, sostenible e inclusivo de la Amazonía, y recordó que a la fecha se han implementado una serie de acciones para avanzar en el cierre de brechas y construcción de infraestructura.

Por ejemplo, dijo la dignataria, están en marcha 113 obras de agua potable y saneamiento, con una inversión de más de 1,200 millones de soles, que beneficiarán a más de 245,000 habitantes de las regiones de Loreto, Amazonas, Madre de Dios, San Martín y Ucayali.

De igual forma, mencionó que Provias Nacional convocará el estudio definitivo del tramo Santo Tomás – Mazán, en beneficio de 121,000 habitantes, y en junio se convocará el sistema de iluminación y seguridad del puente Nanay por 3.3 millones de soles.

Asimismo, resaltó la ejecución del proyecto para desplegar redes de fibra óptica y enlaces inalámbricos destinados a dotar de internet a 326 instituciones públicas, ubicadas en 271 centros poblados, pertenecientes a las cuencas de los ríos Napo y Putumayo.

Participaron de la actividad junto a la jefa de Estado, la ministra del Ambiente, Albina Ruiz; los gobernadores regionales de Loreto, Ucayali y Huánuco; los alcaldes provinciales de Maynas y Datem del Marañón, y la embajadora de Estados Unidos, Lisa Kenna.
