En el acto protocolar participaron la ministra de Vivienda, Hania Pérez de Cuéllar, y el contralor general de la república, Nelson Shack, quienes suscribieron el convenio en representación de sus instituciones, oficializando así este esfuerzo conjunto por impulsar el desarrollo de actividades académicas que propicien el intercambio de buenas prácticas entre funcionarios y servidores públicos.

En ese sentido, el personal del MVCS podrá acceder a capacitaciones, cursos y programas a través de la Escuela Nacional de Control, para fortalecer sus competencias, habilidades técnicas y de gestión. Además, la CGR llevará a cabo conferencias o jornadas sobre temas diversos para los miembros de la entidad, a fin de impulsar una gestión pública transparente en el sector Vivienda.

Asimismo, dicho convenio permitirá fortalecer las capacidades de los servidores públicos del MVCS en materias de ética, lucha contra la corrupción, procedimientos sancionadores y otros relacionados.

Asimismo, se podrá contar con información del Observatorio de la Contraloría General de la República, quienes elaboran anualmente el Índice de Corrupción (INCO), a fin de poder adoptar acciones estratégicas para mitigar los riesgos de corrupción y promover sanciones eficientes a los servidores con inconducta funcional.

Se fortalecerá el seguimiento de la implementación de los Informes de Control de Servicio Simultáneo y Posterior, a través de los órganos correspondientes del MVCS.

Cabe precisar que, que el Convenio de Cooperación Interinstitucional tiene una vigencia de tres años, y no supone ni implica el pago de contraprestación económica alguna entre ambas instituciones.
