PET).

Las actividades oficiales y ceremonias respectivas estarán lideradas por el Élder David Todd Christofferson, miembro del del Quórum de los Doce Apóstoles y un integrante más de las autoridades generales de de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días.

Del mismo modo se espera a que las actividades de las puertas abiertas asista la primera autoridad investida que personifica a la nación, la presidenta Dina Ercila Boluarte Zegarra, así como el presidente del Consejo de Ministros Alberto Otárola Peñaranda, y los diversos ministros de Estado y autoridades civiles, militares y religiosas de todo el país.

La jornada de puertas abiertas al público comenzará el viernes 10 de noviembre y continuará hasta el sábado 9 de diciembre de 2023, excepto los domingos. El lunes 6 de noviembre se llevará a cabo un día de medios de comunicación, después del cual los invitados recorrerán el templo desde el martes 7 de noviembre hasta el jueves 9 de noviembre. Las sesiones dedicatorias serán transmitidas a todas las unidades del distrito del Templo de Los Olivos.

Perú, ubicado al noroeste a lo largo de la cordillera de los Andes y la costa del Pacífico de América del Sur, es el hogar de unos 630 000 Santos de los Últimos Días en casi 780 congregaciones. La primera congregación en Perú se organizó en julio de 1956, y los primeros misioneros en Perú comenzaron a predicar en agosto de ese año.

El Templo de Los Olivos será el segundo en la ciudad. El Templo de Lima Perú, dedicado en 1986, fue la tercera casa del Señor construida en América del Sur. Otros dos templos están en funcionamiento en Perú en las ciudades de Arequipa y Trujillo. También hay planes para construir templos en las ciudades de Chiclayo, Cusco e Iquitos.

The official activities and respective ceremonies will be led by Elder David Todd Christofferson, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and one more member of the General Authorities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
