La mandataria remarcó que se trata de intervenciones preventivas históricas que se realizarán en Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ancash, Ica y Lima, y comprenden, entre otras acciones, la limpieza y descolmatación de ríos y quebradas que darán mayor protección a la población.

La inversión será de la siguiente manera: 219 millones de soles a través de la Autoridad para la Reconstrucción con Cambios (ARCC), 578 millones vía el Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, y 647 millones para la compra de maquinarias, instalación de mallas de contención y diques.

“Señores ministros, gobernadores regionales y entidades especializadas, ya tienen ustedes los recursos económicos. Manos a la obra. Como dijimos en Ayacucho: hechos y no palabras”, enfatizó.

“Nuestra responsabilidad es proteger a nuestros pueblos y ciudades, organizar a la comunidad y poner a salvo especialmente a los más vulnerables”, añadió la dignataria tras subrayar que la mejor forma de enfrentar un desastre natural pasa por prevenir y actuar con sentido de urgencia.

UNIDAD NACIONAL
En su discurso, La jefa de Estado convocó a la más amplia unidad nacional, a fin de seguir trabajando unidos, los tres niveles de gobierno, las fuerzas del orden, el sector privado y la sociedad organizada frente a las adversidades que puede traer el fenómeno El Niño y por el desarrollo del Perú.

La ruta del desarrollo, del progreso y de la mejora de la calidad de vida, enfatizó la presidenta Boluarte, implica trabajar de manera articulada, con responsabilidad, y no se da con paralizaciones o huelgas que, advirtió, solo han traído como resultado atraso y estancamiento social y económico.

“Convoco a la más amplia unidad de todos los sectores, los 33 millones de peruanas y peruanos, a unirnos en esa responsabilidad que el país nos necesita, a unirnos en esa mirada de país, porque niños, adultos mayores y mujeres esperan respuestas y aquí estamos para responder”, enfatizó.

“Los desastres naturales no tienen color político o ideología, y nuestros hermanos vulnerables menos. Por ellos y por nosotros, a partir de este momento seremos 33 millones de peruanas y peruanos unidos frente al fenómeno El Niño”, agregó la jefa de Estado durante el encuentro.

Participaron en la actividad junto a la mandataria, el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, Alberto Otárola, ministros de Estado, autoridades del Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil y de la ARCC, así como los gobernadores regionales de Piura, Tumbes, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Áncash y Lima y el representante del Gore Ica.
