En el primer encuentro, la mandataria analizó la amplia agenda de trabajo que tiene el Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina en el país, así como el impulso de proyectos de inversión en agua, saneamiento y educación, orientados al cierre de brechas económicas y sociales.

“Queremos forjar el desarrollo en asuntos esenciales como agua, salud y educación, y para eso necesitamos el apoyo de organismos internacionales”, sostuvo la jefa de Estado en esta cita llevada cabo con ejecutivos liderados por Sergio Díaz-Granados.

Asimismo, la dignataria agradeció el apoyo a la presidencia pro tempore del Perú en la Comunidad Andina y expresó el interés de contar con su respaldo durante la presidencia pro tempore de la Alianza del Pacífico que ejercerá el Perú a partir de agosto.

Participaron de esta audiencia, el jefe del Gabinete, Alberto Otárola; la canciller Alberto Otárola; y el ministro de Economía y Finanzas, Alex Contreras.

Posteriormente, la jefa de Estado recibió en audiencia al diputado y secretario general del Partido Liberal Democrático del Japón, Toshimitsu Motegi, así como a los diputados Takashi Yamashita y Noriko Horiuchi, vicesecretarios generales del referido partido, en el marco del 150.° aniversario del establecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas entre el Perú y el Japón (1873 – 2023).

Durante el encuentro, se dialogó sobre la histórica vinculación entre los dos pueblos. La comunidad nikkei en el Perú es la tercera más grande del mundo, mientras que la comunidad peruana en el Japón está compuesta por 50 000 personas aproximadamente, la principal comunidad hispanohablante en el Japón.

Asistieron a la reunión, el presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Alberto Otárola; la canciller Ana Cecilia Gervasi, y Kazuyuki Katayama, embajador del Japón en Perú.

Likewise, the dignitary thanked the support for the pro tempore presidency of Peru in the Andean Community and expressed interest in having their support during the pro tempore presidency of the Pacific Alliance that Peru will exercise starting in August.
