Junto a los ministros de Economía y Finanzas, Alex Contreras; del Interior, Vicente Romero; y el viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Ignacio Higueras, el premier señaló que este encuentro buscó también llevar el saludo de la presidenta Dina Boluarte a la nueva gestión parlamentaria.

“Hemos tenido un amplio diálogo sobre el contenido de las normas que buscamos proponer en el marco de las facultades legislativas, se trata de medidas de carácter económico, seguridad ciudadana, modernización del Estado y meritocracia”, detalló Otárola, quien consideró que estas temáticas tienen un sentido de urgencia para toda la población peruana.

Asimismo, el titular de la PCM anunció que se presentará al Congreso una solicitud de autorización para que la jefa de Estado pueda viajar a la ciudad de Belém do Pará, en Brasil, donde se realizará la Cumbre Amazónica 2023.

“Se trata de un evento muy importante convocado por el presidente brasileño Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, que reunirá a ocho mandatarios. El Perú tiene una agenda estratégica en relación con la Amazonía, con planes de desarrollo conjunto con el Brasil, así como de protección del medio ambiente y de combate al narcotráfico y la minería ilegal”, manifestó.

Resaltó que, con su participación en este encuentro, la presidenta Boluarte estaría ejerciendo su función de dirigir la política exterior del país, por primera vez desde que asumió el poder.

“Esperamos que este jueves se debata este pedido y la mandataria pueda dirigirse a Brasil la próxima semana”, finalizó.

A su turno, los ministros del Interior, Vicente Romero, y de Economía y Finanzas, Alex Contreras, explicaron los alcances de las propuestas incluidas en la solicitud de delegación de facultades, como la implementación de la Policía de Orden y Seguridad y la creación de un fideicomiso de infraestructura.

En tanto, el viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Ignacio Higueras, refirió que hoy el Perú recibió la presidencia pro tempore de la Alianza del Pacífico por parte del vecino país de Chile.

“We hope that this request will be discussed this Thursday and the president will be able to go to Brazil next week,” he concluded.

In turn, the Ministers of the Interior, Vicente Romero, and of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, explained the scope of the proposals included in the request for delegation of powers, such as the implementation of the Order and Security Police and the creation of an infrastructure trust.

Meanwhile, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ignacio Higueras, said that today Peru received the pro tempore presidency of the Pacific Alliance from the neighboring country of Chile.
