“Hoy, las peruanas y peruanos damos un paso fundamental para tener el primer tren subterráneo que cambiará la vida de nuestra población”, manifestó.

La jefa de Estado explicó que la puesta en operación comercial de la primera etapa (con pasajeros) de la Línea 2 del Metro de Lima será antes de fin de año y de manera gratuita por tres meses, y al concluir esa “marcha blanca”, a partir de abril del 2024 el tren irá bajo el sistema automático y los pasajeros ya pagarán su pasaje en las cinco primeras estaciones: Mercado Santa Anita, Hermilio Valdizán, Colectora Industrial, Óvalo Santa Anita y Evitamiento.

“Cuando esté terminada toda la obra, unirá diez distritos de la capital: Ate Vitarte, Santa Anita, El Agustino, San Luis, La Victoria, Cercado de Lima, Breña, Bellavista, Cercado del Callao y Carmen de la Legua. Además, se beneficiarán los habitantes de Jesús María, San Miguel y La Perla”, detalló.

La presidenta Boluarte resaltó que ahora Lima contará con un sistema de transportes moderno, rápido, seguro y no contaminante, como lo tienen las grandes ciudades y capitales del mundo.

“Durante años, millones de compatriotas, niños, jóvenes, adultos, han convivido con el tráfico y la congestión vehicular, que no solo les ha generado molestias, sino también les ha hecho perder su tiempo, dinero y hasta el ánimo. Pero este tren subterráneo va cambiar la vida de nuestros queridos ciudadanos y ciudadanas”, afirmó.

“Quiero informar a la ciudadanía que los trabajos de construcción en el primer metro subterráneo del Perú continúan en 36 frentes en simultáneo. La obra en general tiene un avance del 50%”, añadió.

La jefa de Estado enfatizó que se debe trabajar con funcionarios eficientes y valientes para agilizar las obras y proyectos, en beneficio de la ciudadanía y el desarrollo del país.

OBRAS DE INFRAESTRUCTURAS EN TODO EL PAÍS
La presidenta Boluarte resaltó que en todo el país están en ejecución grandes obras de infraestructura vial, portuaria y aeroportuaria, porque el Perú necesita de grandes obras para impulsar su crecimiento y desarrollo, porque generarán empleos y oportunidades, además mejorarán la calidad de vida de la población.

“Hace pocos meses inauguramos la segunda pista de aterrizaje del Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez; el Terminal Portuario Multipropósito de Salaverry, en La Libertad; y la ampliación y reforzamiento del Terminal Portuario de Paita, en Piura”, detalló.

“Ejecutaremos proyectos emblemáticos como Chavimochic III, a fin de garantizar más agua para la agricultura en el norte; y Majes – Siguas II, en Arequipa, que está trabado desde hace muchos años”, agregó.

La presidenta Dina Boluarte estuvo acompañada por las ministras de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Paola Lazarte; de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Nancy Tolentino, y de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, Hania Pérez de Cuéllar, así como por el presidente ejecutivo de la Autoridad de Transporte Urbano para Lima y Callao (ATU), José Aguilar, y la gerente general de la Línea 2 del Metro de Lima, Carmen Deulofeu.

INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
President Boluarte highlighted that large road, port and airport infrastructure works are being carried out throughout the country, because Peru needs large works to boost its growth and development, because they will generate jobs and opportunities, and will also improve the quality of life of the population.

“A few months ago we inaugurated the second landing strip of the Jorge Chávez International Airport; the Salaverry Multipurpose Port Terminal, in La Libertad; and the expansion and reinforcement of the Paita Port Terminal, in Piura”, he explained.
