Con 62 votos a favor, 32 en contra y 7 abstenciones la Representación Nacional atendió el proyecto de Resolución Legislativa enviado por el Poder Ejecutivo para la autorización del viaje de la mandataria.

El pedido indica que la participación de la jefa de Estado será en la IV Reunión de presidentes de los Estados partes en el Tratado de Cooperación Amazónica (TCA) en la ciudad de Belém do Pará, República Federativa de Brasil.

Según el programa preliminar de la mencionada reunión, la participación de los jefes de Estado está prevista para los días 8 y 9 de agosto de 2023.

Durante el debate, los parlamentarios de Perú Libre, Jaime Quito Sarmiento, Alex Flores Ramírez y Wilson Quispe Mamani, se mostraron en contra de la Resolución Legislativa y señalaron que es un acto inconstitucional.

Por su parte, el congresista Jorge Montoya Manrique (RP), argumentó que la norma que da permiso a la presidenta es inconstitucional y que sería causal de vacancia. «Debemos garantizar la estabilidad democrática», señaló.

Por su parte, el congresista Edwin Martínez Talavera (AP), dijo que se debe solucionar primero los problemas del país y Eduardo Salhuana Cavides (APP), indicó que apoyará con su voto por ser un evento de importancia donde verán temas amazónicos.

El debate continuó con posiciones a favor y en contra por parte de los integrantes de las diferentes bancadas.
