Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe El Programa Nacional de Alimentación Escolar Qali Warma, a través de la Unidad Territorial Puno, realizó la entrega formal de los 34 biohuertos escolares en instituciones educativas publicas focalizadas de los distritos de Huata, Coata y Capachica en la provincia de Puno y en Juliaca y San Miguel en la provincia de San Román.

La implementación de los 34 biohuertos escolares fue gracias a la gestión del programa social del Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social – MIDIS, con La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, institución con la que se suscribió una importante acta de acuerdo de trabajo interinstitucional, que ya se ha hecho realidad.

En esa línea, el objetivo de la implementación de los biohuertos escolares es contribuir con alimentos frescos a la dieta de 2435 usuarios del programa en las 34 escuelas de los distritos antes mencionados, además de permitir que los escolares interactúen con la naturaleza y esta pueda convertirse en un espacio pedagógico de aprendizaje.

Giovani Pando Mamani, jefe de la Unidad Territorial Puno de Qali Warma manifestó que este proyecto de implementación del biohuerto escolar con agricultura ecológica, permitirá complementar y enriquecer el servicio alimentario que brinda el programa, facilitando la disponibilidad de alimentos frescos como verduras y hortalizas para el consumo de las niñas y niños.

En la actividad participaron la vicegobernadora regional de Puno, Margoth de la Riva y el director de la UGEL Puno, David Cornejo Mamani, quienes saludaron el trabajo de Qali Warma en favor de la niñez de la región, alentando a que estos proyectos sean sostenibles y bien aprovechados.

También se contó con la presencia de los docentes de las instituciones educativas involucradas y personal técnico del programa.
