Al remarcar que, con esta reapertura, los negocios locales y regionales vinculados al turismo recuperarán su ritmo de crecimiento de manera paulatina, la mandataria resaltó el compromiso del Gobierno con la protección y conservación del Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación.

Según subrayó, Kuélap ha sido recuperada en virtud a un trabajo conjunto con el Gobierno Regional de Amazonas, entidades cooperantes, academia y la propia población, y corresponde ahora seguir apostando por su preservación para las futuras generaciones.

“Los invito a visitar la llaqta de Kuélap y gozar de esta maravilla cultural, a la cual podrán acceder de manera terrestre o mediante el primer sistema de telecabinas del Perú, un hecho histórico en la región Amazonas”, mencionó la mandataria durante su discurso.

A partir de este sábado 19 de agosto, y hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2023, el ingreso a Kuélap será libre, con limitaciones en materia de aforo para su conservación.

A la fecha, añadió la presidenta Boluarte, el Ejecutivo ha transferido S/ 316 millones, a través del plan Con Punche Turismo, a fin de que diversos sectores y gobiernos subnacionales implementen y ejecuten acciones e inversiones destinadas a reactivar este importante sector.

“Sigamos trabajando juntos para poner en valor y mostrar al mundo nuestra herencia cultural, nuestra historia y valentía. No debemos descuidar Kuélap para que pueda ser apreciada por generaciones y generaciones”, enfatizó.

En esta ceremonia, la mandataria estuvo acompañada por el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, Alberto Otárola; los titulares de Defensa, Jorge Chávez; de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Juan Carlos Mathews; de Cultura, Leslie Urteaga, y del Ambiente, Albina Ruiz, así como por el gobernador regional de Amazonas, Gilbert Horna.

Starting this Saturday, August 19, and until December 31, 2023, admission to Kuelap will be free, with capacity limitations for its conservation.
